Liverpool vs Chelsea Betting Tips: Salah to come back to haunt former club yet again

Having started Liverpool’s 4-1 victory over Norwich on the bench due to his late start to pre-season training, Sadio Mane will be raring to go against Chelsea in Wednesday’s Super Cup clash.

At the other end of the pitch, Frank Lampard must decide whether to keep faith with youngster Tammy Abraham or offer a chance to the more experienced Oliver Giroud or Michy Batshuayi in attack.

The 21-year-old looked lively despite drawing a blank at Old Trafford, and is on offer at 15/2 (8.50) to break the deadlock against the European champions or 5/2 (3.50) to simply score his first senior goal for the club.

However, Giroud was the top scorer in the competition en route to lifting last season’s Europa League trophy, and offers solid value at 33/10 (4.30) to demonstrate his European expertise with a seventh goal in 12 matches against Liverpool.

Batshuayi’s last goal for Chelsea was in the FA Cup way back in January 2018, but he can be backed at 29/10 (3.90) to provide a reminder of his own abilities with a big goal here.
