Zidane could make Juve return

Zinedine Zidane has emerged as a possible contender for the Juventus job should Massimiliano Allegri decide to leave at the end of the season, according to Le10 Sport.

Zidane, who left Real Madrid at the end of last season, has been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent days with Maurizio Sarri's future in doubt.

However, the Frenchman has now been tipped to make a dramatic return to Juve, where he spent five years as a player between 1996 and 2001.

Ospina set to stay at Napoli

Napoli are close to agreeing a deal to turn David Ospina's loan from Arsenal into a permanent transfer at the end of the season, according to Calciomercato.

The Colombia international has impressed since joining Carlo Ancelotti's side on a season-long loan last summer.

Ospina now looks set to stay in Naples permanently, with the Serie A club paying around €4million (£3.4m/$4.5m) for the 30-year-old.

Rodriguez could make Real return

Chelsea's transfer ban could offer James Rodriguez a second chance at Real Madrid, according to Marca.

The Blues have appealed against the ban but if it is upheld then it could scupper Real Madrid's attempts to sign forward Eden Hazard.

That may open the door to a first-team return for Rodriguez, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich and has to decide whether to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

Andrason leaves Fulham

Icelandic side Vikingur have signed midfielder Atli Andrason from Fulham on a two-year deal.

The 20-year-old midfielder joined Fulham from KR Reykjavik in 2016 but failed to make a senior appearance for the Cottagers.

Andrason spent six months on loan at Vikingur last season and has now returned to the club on a permanent basis.

 

Chilwell and Wan-Bissaka can't turn down City move – Dunne

Gutman signed with Celtic last month and saw an original loan move to Nashville SC fall through due to the Tennessee club's impending move to MLS next season. 

Sobhi's agent casts doubt on his future

Ramadan Sobhi's agent has said his client, currently on loan at Egyptian side Al Ahly, is unsure where his future lies. 

Sobhi joined Huddersfield Town from Stoke last off-season but failed to break through with the Terriers and was sent on loan to his home country last month. 

“Ramadan’s deal at Al Ahly ends in July, there’s still too much time left before making any decision," Nader Shawky told OnSport FM.

“It is impossible to decide whether Sobhi will return to England or continue with Al Ahly, there are too many ongoing competitions, in addition to Africa Cup of Nations next summer.” 

Everton pay Watford compensation for Silva hire

Everton have resolved the club's dispute with Watford over the hiring of Marco Silva, the club have announced.

After hiring Silva this past summer, Everton "have reached an amicable agreement" with Watford to compensate for his departure.

According to the Telegraph, that fee will be around £4 million.

Laporte signs new Man City contract

Manchester City centre-back Aymeric Laporte has signed a two-year contract extension with the club.

The 24-year-old joined City from Athletic for a fee of £57 million ($74m) in January 2018, but has impressed so much in his short time with the club that his deal has been extended through 2025.

Orlando City sign goalkeeper Rowe

Orlando City have signed goalkeeper Brian Rowe, the club announced.

Rowe has spent seven prior seasons in MLS, featuring for Toronto FC, the LA Galaxy and the Vancouver Whitecaps.

He's made 85 total MLS appearances, and now joins an Orlando team as the club's most senior goalkeeper.  

Chelsea to consider Holland if club sacks Sarri

Chelsea will reach out to England assistant Steve Holland if the club opts to sack Maurizio Sarri, according to the Telegraph.

Holland, a former Chelsea assistant, is seen as the top choice but will look to combine Chelsea and England duties the rest of the campaign.

He had been with the club in various roles for eight seasons before joining Gareth Southgate's staff two years ago with Chelsea's blessing.

The Bavarians are prepared to rival Inter Milan for the Croatian's services, with Barca reportedly willing to listen to offers in excess of €50m ($57m, £44m).

Quintero agrees River Plate extension

River Plate midfielder Juan Quinerto has agreed terms on a new contract with the club, according to TyC Sports.

The Colombian's current deal is due to expire in 2021, but he is now expected to sign a new one-year extension.

AS recently reported that Real Madrid have been monitoring Quintero's progress at River Plate, but it now looks as though the 26-year-old will remain in South America.

Spurs open to Eriksen & Bale swap deal

Tottenham are willing to offer Real Madrid €40m (£35m, $45m) plus Christian Eriksen to re-sign Gareth Bale - according to Don Balon.

Bale has fallen out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu this season, while Eriksen has long been linked with a switch to Spain.

However, Madrid are likely to hold out for a higher fee, believing that Bale is worth €150m ($170m, £131m) compared to their valuation of Eriksen at €60m ($68m, £52m).

Los Angeles FC have announced the signing of three players including, 19-year-old United States youth international goalkeeper Phillip Ejimadu.

The Minnesota-born Ejimadu had been the youth ranks of Brazilian club Nacional Atletico Clube. 

LAFC also signed Lamar Batista, most recently with Portland Timbers 2, and Adrien Perez, who played indoor soccer with the Ontario Fury of MASL.

Ajax director of football Marc Overmars hopes to land Manchester United's Timothy Fosu-Mensah when Matthijs de Ligt leaves the club, reports De Telegraaf.
