Barcelona want €25m for Rafinha

Real Betis remain favourites to sign Barcelona midfielder Rafinha before the close of the transfer window, reports Sport.

Barcelona are willing to offload Rafinha, but their demand for €25 million (£23m/$29m), potentially as a mandatory purchase option at the end of a loan deal, is a sticking point for Betis.

Benfica are also interested in Rafinha, and would be prepared to meet the asking price, but their offer hinges on qualification for the Champions League group phase.

Rangers consider Gauld loan offer

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is weighing up an approach for Sporting’s attacking midfielder Ryan Gauld, according to Record.

A potentially season-ending injury to Jamie Murphy has left Gerrard looking for cover and he is considering a move for former Dundee United youngster Gauld.

Sporting are keen to offload Gauld before the transfer window closes and he could head to Ibrox on a season-long loan deal.

Monaco agree €20m Heinrichs deal

Monaco have agreed a deal with Bayer Leverkusen to sign left-back Benjamin Heinrichs, reports Sport1.

Heinrichs has previously been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City, but is now set to link up with Ligue 1 side Monaco.

Leverkusen have accepted an offer in the region of €20 million (£18m/$23m) for Heinrichs, who will now undergo a medical ahead of finalising his move.

Mignolet: Strange that Karius got to leave instead of me

Simon Mignolet has been left frustrated by Liverpool's decision to deny him a loan move while allowing Loris Karius to join Besiktas.

Mignolet has been called upon to act as backup for Alisson so far this season, while Karius has been sent to Turkey on a two-year loan deal.

Rudy poised for €15m Schalke transfer

Barcelona view Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah as a €250 million (£226m/$291m) successor to Lionel Messi, claims Don Balon.

Salah has established himself as one of the most devastating attackers in world football over the past couple of years and is being lined up by Barca to take over the mantle from Messi, and also to provide support due to concerns over the long-term form of Luis Suarez.

The paper reports that Ligue 1 side are eager to add some extra quality in midfield before the transfer window shuts this coming Friday and a bumper bid for the Denmark international is being considered should their attempts to sign Ivan Rakitic from Barcelona fail - which seems likely following the Croatian's latest comments.

Eriksen, who has been a key player for Spurs since joining from Ajax in 2013, has also been heavily linked with Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.
