Wolves accept Spurs £15m bid for Doherty


Wolves have accepted Tottenham's £15 million ($20m) bid for Matt Doherty - according to The Telegraph.

The 28-year-old will undergo a medical with the north London club this weekend before joining up with Jose Mourinho's squad.

Doherty racked up 50 appearances across all competitions for Wolves in 2019-20.

Messi wants Barca board meeting as he seeks amicable exit


Lionel Messi remains determined to leave Barcelona, however the Argentine player wants to meet with the board and leave the club on good terms, Goal understands.

On Tuesday, Messi told the club he wants to leave after nearly 20 years at Camp Nou, having come through their La Masia academy and emerged as one of the world's best players.

The situation between Messi and the club has deteriorated massively in recent months, with the player angry over the decisions made under president Josep Maria Bartomeu, such as the sale of Neymar and their refusal to buy him back, and the sacking of manager Ernesto Valverde earlier this season.

Leeds set to sign Koch from Freiburg for €13m


Leeds United are set to sign Robin Koch from Freiburg - according to Kicker.

The Whites will bring in the 24-year-old for an initial €13 million (£12m/$15m) fee, with performance-based bonus payments set to be included in the final deal.

Koch has spent the last three years of his career at Freiburg, and has also won two caps for Germany at international level.

'Arsenal should cash in on Lacazette to fund summer transfers'


Ray Parlour has expressed his belief that Arsenal should cash in on Alexandre Lacazette to fund a summer transfer spree.

Mikel Arteta is currently in the process of shaping a squad capable of fighting for a place in the top four, while preparing for his first full season in charge at Emirates Stadium.

The Spaniard has already been able to add former Chelsea midfielder Willian to his ranks on a free transfer, while Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares have signed permanent deals after successful loan spells.

Atalanta and Napoli are both interested in signing Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga - according to Calcio Mercato.

Napoli have submitted a €30 million (£27m/$36m) offer for the 23-year-old, but Atalanta are ready to table a rival bid, and will include Italian midfielder Matteo Pessina in any potential deal.

Boga contributed 11 goals and two assists to Sassuolo's Serie A cause in 34 appearances last season.

Former Liverpool man Jamie Carragher has said that he can't see his old club going “anywhere near” wantaway Barcelona captain Lionel Messi, adding that the only Premier League team he can see the Argentine joining is Manchester City.

Messi sent shockwaves through the football world with the recent revelation that he wants to leave Barcelona, the six-time Ballon d'Or winner having become frustrated with life at Camp Nou under the stewardship of Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Atletico set to re-sign Carrasco on permanent deal


Atletico Madrid are set to re-sign Yannick Carrasco on a permanent deal - according to Marca.

Dalian Professional have agreed to sell the 26-year-old back to the Los Rojiblancos, and he is now set to sign a four-year contract at Wanda Metropolitano.

Carrasco left Atletico to undertake a new challenge in the Chinese Super League back in February 2018, but ended up returning to the club on loan in January.

Arteta confident Arsenal will reach transfer goals


Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta is confident the club will achieve all their transfer goals before the October 6 deadline.

The Gunners could only finish eighth in the Premier League last season, their worst finish since coming 12th in 1994-95.

Arsenal always looked likely to be busy in the transfer market following that disappointment, as they look to rebuild under Arteta, who replaced Unai Emery late last year.

Four Premier League clubs are eager to complete the signing of Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain - according to Corriere Dello Sport.

The 32-year-old is set to leave Juventus ahead of the new season, with Fulham, Aston Villa, West Ham and Newcastle all ready to offer the former Chelsea loanee the chance to return to England.

Juve are planning to terminate Higuain's contract a year before its expiry date, with new head coach Andrea Pirlo set to overhaul the squad after an underwhelming 2019-20 campaign.

Inter are ready to listen to offers for Matias Vecino - according to Calcio Mercato.

Antonio Conte has told the 29-year-old midfielder that he is no longer in his plans, and the Nerazzurri are now prepared to sanction his departure for around €20 million (£18m/$24m).

Vecino only featured in 20 Serie A matches for Inter in 2019-20, scoring twice.

Austria Wien have confirmed that they have extended centre-back Erik Palmer-Brown's loan to cover a further year.

The defender joined the Austrian club last season and, having made 23 competitive appearances, has seen his time with the club extended into the 2020-21 campaign.

Head coach Peter Stoger told the club's official website: "We are very happy that we can continue the exciting cooperation with Manchester City and Erik in this difficult period.

"It was important to us that we could keep a player in this position who already knew the club and the league. Especially after Alexandar Borkovic's move to Hoffenheim, we were looking for a solution that was good for everyone and now we have found a very good one."

L'Equipe are reporting that Lionel Messi's father Jorge has informed Paris Saint-Germain that the Barcelona superstar has decided to move to Manchester City.

The French newspaper claims that PSG's sporting director Leonardo made contact with Jorge Messi to inform him of the Ligue 1 champions' interest in his son.

The Brazilian was, however, politely informed that Messi had already made his mind up over a switch to join Pep Guardiola at City.

No offers for unwanted Umtiti


Barcelona are struggling to find a buyer for Samuel Umtiti, according to Mundo Deportivo, who claim the Catalans are now open to sending the centre-back out on loan.

Umtiti has been deemed surplus to requirements at Camp Nou, with Ronald Koeman seeking to shake things up and get the Liga giants back to winning major honours.

Roma, Lazio, West Ham, Leicester, Arsenal and Tottenham have all been credited with an interest in the France international.

Atletico are keen to re-sign the Frenchman

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu offered to return Antoine Griezmann to Atletico Madrid as part of a proposed swap deal for Joao Felix, reports Marca

The offer, which came just before Barca's 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich, was swiftly rejected by Atletico, who are interested in securing a possible deal for Griezmann but not at the expense of Felix. 

Atletico reportedly offered Thomas Lemar and Diego Costa instead of Felix as part of a transfer for Griezmann but Bartomeu wasn't interested.
