Deschamps: Pogba can't be happy at Man Utd


France manager Didier Deschamps says he doesn’t think Paul Pogba is happy with his current situation at Manchester United.

The 27-year-old has struggled for consistent first-team minutes in recent months, with injury problems and a lack of fitness after testing positive for coronavirus among the contributory factors.

Since his return to Old Trafford, Pogba has been consistently linked with the door once more, though he again remained in Manchester during the last transfer window.

Monk leaves Sheffield Wednesday


Garry Monk has left Sheffield Wednesday, the club have confirmed.

The former Swansea supremo, who took charge at the Swans after a trophy-laden career as a player there, has struggled at the Owls this term, with just three league wins from 11 games.

Monk previously coached Leeds United and Birmingham City, among others.

Verona mull Borini return


Fabio Borini has been linked with a return to former club Hellas Verona after leaving in September, says Tuttomercatoweb.

However, the Italian outfit are not the only ones in the market for the free agent, with fellow former club Swansea also interested.

Borini spent a short loan spell with the Swans in 2011, helping them earn promotion to the Premier League in the process.

but Swansea City are reportedly interested too.

The 29-year-old forward could have a future in Serie A, as he is yet to find a new club after his contract at the Bentegodi expires on September 1, 2020.

The former Milan striker has a past at Roma too and experience from spells in England with Chelsea, Swansea, Liverpool and Sunderland.

Cincinnati announce roster choices


FC Cincinnati have revealed their roster choices for 2021, with Zico Bailey, Ben Lundt and Haris Medunjanin all seeing their contract options exercised, the club has confirmed.

But a dozen players look set to leave tas the MLS outfit seek to improve their fortunes.

The expansion team have finished bottom of the overall competition table in both of their seasons in the division to date.

Alcorcon sack manager Hermoso


Spanish side Alcorcon have sacked manager Mere Hermoso.

Alcorcon took four points from their first two games this season but sit bottom of the Segunda Division after losing all eight of their games since then.

Mere has previously enjoyed successful spells in charge of Fuenlabrada and Cadiz reserves.

Ex-Napoli star Vargas joins Atletico Mineiro


Atletico Mineiro have signed former Napoli, QPR and Hoffenheim forward Eduardo Vargas on a two-year deal.

Mandzukic attracts Celta Vigo interest


Celta Vigo are interested in taking former Atletico Madrid forward Mario Mandzukic back to La Liga, reports COPE.

The 34-year-old forward is currently a free agent following a brief spell in Qatar with Al-Duhail.

Mandzukic scored 20 goals in 43 appearances in his sole season at Atletico.

Alisson injury scuppered Kelleher move


Liverpool planned to send young goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher out on loan during the summer window but the move was scuppered by the injury to first-choice stopper Alisson.

Tarkowski to Liverpool?


Burnley centre-half James Tarkowski would be a “decent” option for Liverpool to consider if they do decide to bring in cover for Virgil van Dijk during the January transfer window, says Chris Kirkland.

The former Reds goalkeeper told FootballFanCast: "Obviously there was a lot of talk about Tarkowski at Burnley. I like him, I think he’s decent."

Lyon have to take advantage of me now - Barca-linked Depay


Memphis Depay has told Lyon to make the most of him while they can as he is unsure if he will still be at the club after January amid persistent links with Barcelona.

Barca boss Ronald Koeman has made no secret of his desire to sign Depay, with whom he worked as head coach of the Netherlands national side.

A deal failed to materialise late in the recent transfer window, despite the 26-year-old agreeing personal terms with Barca, but a fresh approach is expected in the new year.

Juventus and Inter are vying for the signature of Hellas Verona defender Matteo Lovato - according to Calcio Mercato.

Both clubs are planning to launch bids for the 20-year-old next year, with his current market value set at around €20 million (£18m/$24m).

Lovato has featured in seven Serie A matches for Verona at the start of the new season.

Everton not planning to recall Kean in January


Everton are not planning to recall Moise Kean from Paris Saint-Germain in January - according to The Athletic.

Kean has scored five goals in seven appearances for PSG since moving to Parc des Princes on a season-long loan deal last month.

Everton do not wish to cut the 20-year-old striker's stay in France short, but will bring him back to Goodison Park at the end of the campaign.

David Beckham wants to bring Sergio Ramos to Inter Miami next year - according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Real Madrid defender has yet to sign a contract extension at Santiago Bernabeu, with his current deal set to expire next summer.

Beckham is hoping to lure Ramos to his MLS franchise in Miami, but the Blancos are confident he will end up signing a renewal.

Man Utd reject Gomes producing 'magic' at Boavista


Having played fewer than 500 minutes of first-team football for Manchester United last season, Angel Gomes seemed little more than an afterthought at Old Trafford.

Manchester United need four players like Bruno Fernandes, according to Louis Saha, who says the Red Devils must spend more to compete for the "big trophies".

Juventus are planning to put Cristiano Ronaldo on the market next summer - according to AS.

The Bianconeri are hoping to recoup a major chunk of their €100 million (£90m/$119m) investment in the Portuguese by selling him a year before his current contract expires.

Juve think it is risky to extend Ronaldo's stay given the fact he turns 36 in February, and can no longer justify meeting his lofty wage demands.

Chelsea and Milan are both chasing the signature of Malmo defender Anel Ahmedhodzic - according to Calcio Mercato.

The 21-year-old could be available for around £10 million when the transfer window reopens in January.

Chelsea see Ahmedhodzic as a potential long-term replacement for Thiago Silva, while Milan are eager to bolster their defensive ranks to challenge for the Serie A title.

Lille midfielder Renato Sanches is the subject of interest from Wolves - according to Calcio Mercato.

Arteta confirms Partey injury


Arsenal new midfield recruit Thomas Partey is set to have a scan on a suspected thigh injury suffered during Sunday’s defeat against Aston Villa, head coach Mikel Arteta has confirmed.

The Ghana international lasted just 45 minutes at Emirates Stadium before being forced off during the break and replaced by Dani Ceballos.

News of Partey’s injury capped a miserable evening for the Gunners, who slipped to a 3-0 defeat thanks to two goals from Ollie Watkins and an own goal from Buyako Saka.

Goalkeeper Andrew Redmayne has pulled out of Sydney FC's Asian Champions League squad, the club has confirmed

Redmayne's wife is currently pregnant and he has opted against making the trip to Qatar

“With my wife heavily pregnant I couldn’t risk missing the birth of my first child,” Redmayne said. 

“I’ll continue to work hard with the youth team and support staff whilst in Sydney to afford myself the best preparation for the new A-League season starting in December." 

Kelleher denied loan move after Alisson injury


Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhim Kelleher was denied a chance to move to the Eredivisie on loan after an injury to Alisson, Republic of Ireland manager Stephen Kenny has revealed. 

“We really need Caoimhin Kelleher to get matches under his belt as we feel he is ready to play for us. He is good enough to play for Ireland, but he’s not playing matches so it’s an issue," Kenny said on Sunday. 

“He would have benefitted from that [move] we feel, but it’s not easy to play at Liverpool."

Neymar has told Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo that he wants to re-sign with the club, according to Telefoot

The 28-year-old is currently contracted until 2022 and PSG have yet to offer him a new deal.

Zidane paying the penalty for Madrid failure to rejuvenate squad


Zinedine Zidane's lack of available depth was shown up at Mestalla as the defending La Liga champions fell to a 4-1 defeat to Valencia on Sunday.

Real Madrid let Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Achraf Hakimi and Sergio Reguilon go this summer, among several others, with Martin Odegaard’s return from loan effectively Madrid’s big ‘signing’.

Southampton and Brentford are chasing LASK winger Husein Balic, reports the Daily Mail

Balic, nicknamed 'The Sprinter', is believed to be one of the fastest footballers right now and could cost just £2.8 million in January. 

Scottish giants Celtic have also previously shown interest in the 24-year-old. 

Kimmich ruled out until 2021


Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich will be sidelined until 2021 after successfully completing surgery on his knee.

The 25-year-old needed to have an operation on his right lateral meniscus after being substituted in the 36th minute of the Bundesliga champions' 3-2 win over Dortmund on Saturday.

On Sunday evening, Bayern released a statement on their club website informing that Kimmich would not return from his injury until at least January.
