Howe would snub Newcastle approach


Eddie Howe would snub an approach from Newcastle to replace Steve Bruce as he is hopeful of a job on the south coast - namely Southampton, per Football Insider.

The former Borunemouth boss, who famously took the club to the Premier League from the lower depths of the Football League, was heavily linked with Celtic before an apparent move fell through.

With Newcastle tipped to split with Steve Bruce following their takeover, Howe is one option who could replace him, though the club is thought to likely look for a bigger manager.

Leicester eye up Isco


Leicester City have their eyes on Real Madrid's Isco, potentially as a loan move in the new year, per Fichajes.

The Spain international is not a key figure in Carlo Ancelotti's plans and looks set to have his minutes further restricted.

That could open the door to an exit, with the Foxes now prowling around his services.

Conte would spurn Newcastle job


Antonio Conte would turn down any approach from Newcastle to become their manager, says The Sun.

The Italian, who most recently guided Inter to the Serie A title, could have been lined up as a replacement for Steve Bruce following the Magpies' takeover.

But whatever his next job will be, it will apparently not be on Tyneside.

Maurizio Sarri is weighing up a reunion with Kepa, with Lazio plotting an offer for the Chelsea goalkeeper, per Fichajes.

The two worked together during the former's brief time at the Blues, with the latter starting in goal for their 2019 Europa League Final triumph.

Now, they could be poised to link up once more.

Torres responds to Barca rumours


Ferran Torres is reading little into reports suggesting that Manchester City could allow him to join Barcelona on loan in January, with the Spain international pointing out that “there are always rumours”.

The 21-year-old forward is a player who has registered on the radars of Barca and Real Madrid since bursting onto a senior stage at Valencia.

Clasico rivals were unable to do a deal when a big-money move was made in 2020, as City won that race, but a stint at Camp Nou is being speculated on again ahead of the winter transfer window.

Man Utd consider ending Pellistri loan


Manchester United are considering terminating Facundo Pellistri’s loan deal with Deportivo Alaves, Goal can confirm. 

The 19-year-old joined the  Liga side in the summer transfer window on a season-long loan deal to gain vital playing experience and, while he is in the squad each week and benefitting from that experience, he is struggling for starts.

The winger has only started one league game this season and has yet to get 200 minutes under his belt. It is understood United are consequently in the process of reviewing his loan due to a number of factors, including playing time, and will decide whether or not to cancel the contract.

Lazio have signed Ciro Immobile and Francesco Acerbi to new contracts, Calciomercato says.

The star attacker is now tied to the club until 2026, while the defender has committed to the Serie A side until 2025.

The Dutch midfielder, who has been linked with Everton, failed to secure a switch elsewhere over the summer and remains down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Sule open to Bayern stay


Niklas Sule says he is open to signing a new contract at Bayern Munich, but remains unsure of his future.

The centre-back's contract expires at the end of the season and he has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

But Sule says his future is "completely open" in an interview with Suddeutsche Zeitung, adding: "First I have to be clear about what is best for me. I never said that I definitely had to go, I never said that I will definitely stay here."

Barca continue search for new midfielder


Barcelona are determined to sign a new midfielder in January.

The Spanish side missed out on Georginio Wijnaldum in the summer and decided to sell Ilaix Moriba to RB Leipzig after he refused to commit to a new contract.

Sport reports Barca are still on the search for a new star to strengthen their midfield options and will push to bring someone in when the next transfer window opens.

AC Milan to sell two players in January


AC Milan will try to sell Samu Castillejo and Andrea Conti in the January transfer window.

Castillejo has played just one minute of Serie A football so far this season and right-back Conti has not made the team.

Calciomercato reports the club are ready to offload them at the next opportunity but do not expect to get much for them.

Real Betis hope to sign Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid in January, AS reports.

The midfielder returned to the Spanish side after a year at Arsenal but he has not made an appearance so far this season.

Betis hope to offer him a way back to first-team football in the next transfer window and are confident of their chances of landing him.

AC Milan watching Lucca


AC Milan are keeping an eye on Pisa star Lorenzo Lucca.

The 21-year-old striker joined Pisa from Palermo in July and has already scored six goals in seven Serie B matches.

According to Calciomercato, the Rossoneri have been impressed by his start to life at Pisa and are showing interest in bringing him to San Siro.

The German champions have targeted the 22-year-old amid fears that Kingsley Coman will leave the club at the end of the season.

Gakpo is seen as the ideal replacement for Coman, with the Dutchman having recorded two goals and six assists in his first eight Eredivisie outings for PSV this term.

Foden closing in on new Man City deal


Phil Foden is closing in on a new deal at Manchester City, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The 21-year-old’s current contract is not due to expire until 2024, but the Premier League champions are eager to tie him down for an extra three years.

Foden missed the start of the new season through injury, but has scored twice in six outings across all competitions since returning to action.

Pogba hints at Juventus return amid Man Utd uncertainty


Paul Pogba has hinted at a possible return to Juventus amid the ongoing uncertainty surrounding his contract situation at Manchester United.
Pogba has spent the last five years on United's books, having returned to Old Trafford for a second spell after leaving Juve in an £89 million ($121m) deal back in 2016.
The 28-year-old became one of the top midfielders in Europe during his time in Turin but has struggled for consistency with the Red Devils, and speculation over his future is raging now that he has entered the final year of his contract.

Bruce fearing Newcastle sack after Saudi takeover


Steve Bruce fears he might be sacked by Newcastle before his 1,000th game as a manager following the completion of a Saudi Arabian-backed takeover.

The Premier League approved the sale of Newcastle to Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) on Thursday, bringing an end to a saga that had been running for well over a year.

A new era will now be ushered in at St James' Park as Mike Ashley's 14-year ownership spell comes to an end, and it has been suggested that Bruce will follow him out the exit door.

Juventus and Inter are both eyeing Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule - according to CalcioMercato.

The 26-year-old’s current deal at Allianz Arena expires in June 2022, and he will be free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with any potential suitors in January.

Juve and Inter would both like to sign Sule on a free transfer, but he could yet extend his stay at Bayern given he is still a key member of the first team.

Man City join race for Espanyol starlet Joseph


Manchester City have joined the race to sign Espanyol starlet Mateo Joseph - according to The Daily Mail.

Leeds United are also keen on the 19-year-old, who has previously been linked with Barcelona.

City are planning to swoop in and beat the competition to Joseph’s signature, though, with it reported that he has a £1.2 million release clause in his current contract at Espanyol.

AC Milan are eager to bring in Barcelona midfielder Alex Collado, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The 22-year-old wants his future resolved by January after seeing a proposed move to Sheffield United fall through in the summer.
