    Howe would snub Newcastle approach

Eddie Howe would snub an approach from Newcastle to replace Steve Bruce as he is hopeful of a job on the south coast - namely Southampton, per Football Insider.

The former Borunemouth boss, who famously took the club to the Premier League from the lower depths of the Football League, was heavily linked with Celtic before an apparent move fell through.

With Newcastle tipped to split with Steve Bruce following their takeover, Howe is one option who could replace him, though the club is thought to likely look for a bigger manager.

    Torres responds to Barca rumours

Ferran Torres is reading little into reports suggesting that Manchester City could allow him to join Barcelona on loan in January, with the Spain international pointing out that “there are always rumours”.

The 21-year-old forward is a player who has registered on the radars of Barca and Real Madrid since bursting onto a senior stage at Valencia.

Clasico rivals were unable to do a deal when a big-money move was made in 2020, as City won that race, but a stint at Camp Nou is being speculated on again ahead of the winter transfer window.

Manchester United are considering terminating Facundo Pellistri’s loan deal with Deportivo Alaves, Goal can confirm.

The 19-year-old joined the  Liga side in the summer transfer window on a season-long loan deal to gain vital playing experience and, while he is in the squad each week and benefitting from that experience, he is struggling for starts.

The winger has only started one league game this season and has yet to get 200 minutes under his belt. It is understood United are consequently in the process of reviewing his loan due to a number of factors, including playing time, and will decide whether or not to cancel the contract.
