Barca's Cucurella set for Getafe

Barcelona have agreed to sell left-back Marc Cucurella to Getafe just a day after they brought him back from Eibar.

Sources close to the Catalan club have confirmed to Goal that Cucurella will seal a permanent move to their Liga rivals in a deal worth up to €10 million (£9m/$11m).

That will see Ernesto Valverde's side make a profit on a player they confirmed they had re-signed from Eibar on Tuesday for €4m.

Roma sign Mancini

Roma have confirmed the signing of Gianluca Mancini on a one-year loan deal from Atalanta.

The deal includes a €2m (£1.8m/$2.25m) loan fee and a €13m (£11.7m/$14.6m) buy obligation upon the conclusion of the loan. 

Mancini, 23, has earned two Italy caps and made 35 appearances for Atalanta last season.

Trippier seals Atletico Madrid move

Fullback Kieran Trippier's Tottenham departure has been finalized as Atletico Madrid have signed the defender for an initial fee of £20 million ($25m).

Atlanta United acquires Adams from Fire

The reigning MLS Cup champions will send  $100,000 in General Allocation Money to the Fire while also waving Gordon Wild to open up a spot for the English midfielder.

Adams has made 10 appearances this year after making 15 last campaign in his rookie season. 

Preston North End re-sign Nugent

The 22-year-old is seen as a direct replacement for Salomon Rondon, and could arrive as the most expensive signing in the club's history.

The 25-year-old has joined on a five-year deal for an undisclosed fee. 

Reports have suggested the agreement between the two clubs is around £40 million ($50m). 

West Ham confirmed he has become their new record signing, surpassing the £35m ($43m) price tag of Felipe Anderson.

Sheffield Wednesday have announced they are taking legal advice following the departure fo manager Steve Bruce to Newcastle.

A club statement on Wednesday read: "The Club is disappointed to learn via public statement issued by Newcastle United that it has appointed former Sheffield Wednesday staff Steve Bruce, Steve Agnew and Steve Clemence.

"Regardless of the fact that the staff resigned from their positions with the Club on Monday, there remains outstanding legal issues to be resolved between the club and the staff and Newcastle United. The Club is currently considering its position and taking the appropriate legal advice.

"No further comment will be made by the Club concerning this matter."

De Gea misses Leeds clash with illness
