Jovic wanted Eintracht return in December


Kevin Trapp has revealed that Luka Jovic told him he wanted to return to Eintracht Frankfurt from Real Madrid in December.

Jovic is back at the club on loan, and Trapp has revealed it was his desire.

“I was already talking to him in summer, asking his situation and how it was all going,” Trapp told “He wasn't really happy, everybody could see that.

"At the end of December I asked him again what was going on, what the situation was and if he wanted to come back. Surprisingly he told me 'yeah, I want to come back.'”

Abd Elhamed set for Celtic exit


Hatem Abd Elhamed is on the brink of leaving Celtic, manager Neil Lennon has confirmed.

The defender is set to head back to Israel after struggling to settle in Scotland.

"He's really struggled with life here," Lennon told BBC Scotland. "He's been through a really tough time of it mentally. His wife and young son are back in Israel and he really wanted to go home.

"That deal will come to fruition today or tomorrow."

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder was unhappy with the club's board after he wasn't able to make any signings in the January window.

"I put my recommendation to the board regarding strengthening in January with a couple of deals that I believe would have helped us," Wilder told reporters.

"As much as I respect other people's opinion I think people should respect mine, which was to bring a couple of players in.

"But the owner makes the decisions at a football club and he has to carry that burden and responsibility to do the best for the football club and I respect the decisions made. It's football, there are disappointments all along."
