Reading have completed the signing of 19-year-old goalkeeper João Virgínia on a season-long loan from Everton, according to the Reading Chronicle  

The 'keeper joined the Merseyside club in August 2018 and has recorded nine clean sheets in 12 PL2 matches for the U23’s – keeping clean sheets in the Premier League Cup semi final and final victories against Swansea City and Newcastle United.

Motherwell to sign Croatian Ilic


Motherwell will sign Croatian full-back Christian Ilic on a one-year deal as soon as they confirm his contract at Romanian club Sepsi has been cancelled, as reported by the Daily Express

The 22-year-old, who is Austrian born, only joined the Romanian outfit in June but will leave in order to join the Scottish Premiership side.

Monchi lining up more Sevilla moves


Despite spending over €100 million (£90m/$113m) already this summer, Monchi is looking to bring more names in to Sevilla, reports Marca.

The club are still looking for a new goalkeeper, two central midfielders, and two more attackers for Julen Lopetegui's squad.

Multiple players will have to leave to finance those moves however, with Wissam Ben Yedder and Roque Mesa set to depart and Aleix Vidal possibly leaving as well.

Man Utd Bergwijn willing to wait for Bayern, claims agent


The agent of PSV star Steven Bergwijn claims his client is willing to wait on Bayern Munich but the Bundesliga giants cannot stall too long because of other interest.

Reports indicated Bayern are interested in Bergwijn but their delay in making an offer left the PSV attacker ready to move on.

But Bergwijn’s agent Fulco van Kooperen says he and his client are willing to wait on Bayern, at least for a time.

Johannsson signs with Hammarby


United States international Aron Johannsson will look to get his career back on track after signing with Hammarby in Sweden.

Hammarby announced an agreement with the 28-year-old forward after his contract with Werder Bremen expired in June.

Johannsson had a few bright moments with Werder but spent most of his time in the Bundesliga battling injuries. 

Eliott watches Liverpool friendly as Reds move finalised


Fulham wonderkid Harvey Elliott was in attendace for an easy friendly victory for Liverpool on Thursday as he closes on what would be a dream move to Anfield.

The Champions League holders raised few eyebrows at Prenton Park in a dominant 6-0 defeat of Tranmere Rovers to kick off pre-season preparations. 

And in the stands at Prenton Park was Elliott, who Goal can confirm will soon be signing terms on a move to Liverpool.

PSG return for Gueye


Paris Saint-Germain have returned for Everton's Idrissa Gueye and have even lodged a bid for him, according to L'Equipe.

Gueye was subject to a €30 million bid (£27m/$34m) and discussions between the teams are set to continue.

PSG went after the 29-year-old Gueye during the previous January window but were unable to secure a deal.

Everton teen joins Hamilton


Everton teenager Korede Adedoyin has joined Hamilton Academical on a season-long loan, the Scottish Premiership club have announced.

The 18-year-old attacker has scored 21 goals for the Everton's U-18 side over the past two seasons, including 11 in 17 games last term.

Barella to Inter in €45m deal


Cagliari's Nicolo Barella is set to move to Inter on a €45 million (£40m/$51m) loan with an obligation to purchase deal, reports

After completing his medical on Friday, Barella will join this season on an initial €12m deal but Inter are required to exercise the €25m purchase option in the agreement.

In addition, there are easy to reach bonuses which push the deal to €45m and some much harder clauses which could push the transfer up to €50m.


Icardi to Napoli rumours 'colossal stupidity'


Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has vehemently denied any talk of Mauro Icardi joining the club, calling the idea of meeting with him a “colossal, enormous stupidity.”

Icardi’s future at Inter has been the subject of much speculation since he was stripped of his captaincy last February, with an on-going feud between the club, Icardi and his wife and agent Wanda Nara clouding his outlook.

Inter have conceded they would like to move Icardi on, though Juventus has been rubbished as a potential destination by club CEO Guiseppe Marotta.

Barca pay out Griezmann release clause


Atletico have received €120m for unhappy striker

Barcelona have paid the full sum of Antoine Griezmann's release clause as a move from Atletico Madrid edges closer, according to L'Equipe

The France international has already requested to leave the Wanda Metropolitana this summer. 

And despite bad blood between the two Liga clubs, Barca have moved to close the deal by paying out €120 million (£107m/$134m) to Atletico.

Atletico sign Saponjic from Benfica


Atletico Madrid have signed Serbia Under-21 striker Ivan Saponjic from Benficaon a three-year contract, the club have announced. 

Neither club disclosed the fee paid for the 21-year-old but the deal is reported to be worth in the region of €8 million (£7.1m/$9m).

A physically imposing forward, Saponjic will provide an extra attacking option for coach Diego Simeone alongside Diego Costa, Alvaro Morata and record signing Joao Felix, who also arrived from Benfica for €126m (£113m/$141m).

Khedira considering offer from Turkey


Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira is considering an offer from Fenerbahce, reports

The arrivals of Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot will see Khedira fall down the pecking order and Fener have made a big offer for the veteran.

Khedira does not want to leave Juventus, but knows it could be the right time to do so, as he seeks to maintain playing time at this stage in his career.

Fekir could leave Lyon this summer


Nabil Fekir may still leave Lyon but the Ligue 1 club will sanction no other departures following a period of upheaval.

Juninho Pernambucano is also settling into his seat as director of football and the Brazilian is determined to guard against a further drain on talent.

That means Memphis Depay, Moussa Dembele and Houssem Aouar are all set to stay, but captain and World Cup winner Fekir could still find a new home after entering the final 12 months of his contract

West Brom furious over Barca's Barry announcement


West Brom are furious over Barcelona's announcement of the signing of Louis Barry, believing the deal is not yet complete, according to Sky Sports.

While Barca announced the signing of the 16-year-old, West Brom say the club, nor the English FA have signed off on all the transfer forms.

Until those forms are completed, UEFA rules will not permit Barry to play in Spain, which he is expected to do with Barca's youth side.


Norwich announce new Trybull contract


Norwich have announced they have signed midfielder Tom Trybull to a new contract through 2022.

The 26-year-old joined the Canaries two years ago from Eredivisie club ADO Den Haag and has made 60 appearances for the club over that span.

PSG monitoring the "new Pirlo"


Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring the situation with Brescia's Sandro Tonali, who is regarded by some as the "new Pirlo" according to RMC Sport.

PSG have not yet made an offer for Tonali, but sporting director Leonardo has been in contact with the player's representatives. 

Tonali has two years remaining on his deal and PSG are willing to pay €25 million (£22m/$28m) for his services.

Leipzig want Lookman on permanent deal


RB Leipzig are hoping to bring back Everton's Ademola Lookman on a permanent deal this summer, reports Sky Sports.

Lookman starred at Leipzig on loan in the second half of the 2017-18 season, scoring five goals in 11 games, but remained at Goodison Park last season after talks to bring him to Germany back failed.

Leipzig have returned with a bid to land him permanently, and Everton are having internal discussions on whether to accept the offer. 

Everton midfielder nears Derby loan


Everton midfielder Kieran Dowell is close to a season-long loan move to Derby County, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The 21-year-old made a pair of League Cup appearances for the Toffees last season, but has not enjoyed a Premier League outing since 2015-16.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Sheffield United, where he scored two goals in 16 appearances, and addition to Derby, has multiple clubs interested in his services.

Man Utd make enquiry over Milenkovic


Manchester United have made an enquiry into Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, reports

The Red Devils held interest in the 21-year-old Milenkovic last summer, but saw their €40 million (£36m/$45m) offer rejected, as Fiorentina wanted at least €50m.

The Serie A club are looking to beat back interest in both Milenkovic and Federico Chiesa this summer. 

Dortmund interested in Liverpool forward


Liverpool teen Bobby Duncan will be given a chance to break into the first team in order to fend off interest from abroad, according to the Daily Mail.

Duncan, who is Reds legend Steven Gerrard's cousin, had a breakthrough academy season and has two years remaining on his contract at Anfield.

German clubs, with Borussia Dortmund among them, are looking to make a move for Duncan if it becomes clear he will not factor into Klopp's plans this season.

Wolves looking at Joelinton


Wolves are looking at Hoffenheim attacker Joelinton after the attacker's strong debut campaign in the Bundesliga, according to Kicker.

Securing his services will not be easy, as Joelinton signed a new contract through 2022 in March and Hoffenheim are intent on holding him.

However, it is unknown whether a strong offer from the Premier League club would be enough to tempt Hoffenheim into considering a sale.

Zidane relishing move away from Real Madrid


Luca Zidane expects time away from Real Madrid to aid his development as he embarks upon a season-long loan at Racing Santander.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper made the move on Tuesday after losing sight of a first-team spot under father and head coach Zinedine.

Racing will compete in Spain's second tier after winning promotion last season and the 21-year-old thinks venturing outside the capital could kick-start his career.

Borussia Dortmund Jeremy Toljan has joined Serie A club Sassuolo on loan, the Bundesliga side have confirmed.

Toljan did not make an appearance in the league last season under Lucien Favre and spent the second half of the season on loan at Celtic.

Barca hope to announce Griezmann on Friday


Blaugrana want deal tied up before weekend

Barcelona plan to announce the signing of Antoine Griezmann on Friday if everything goes to plan, Mundo Deportivo reports.

No delegates from either club will be present at La Liga's headquarters, according to the report, but rather only a lawyer acting on behalf of Griezmann.

Barca will not make any announcements until officials at the offices of the Spanish top flight confirm all boxes have been ticked by both clubs.

Griezmann, meanwhile, is preparing to fly to Catalunya, where he will sign a five-year deal to stay at Camp Nou until 2024.

No Zaha in Palace away kit unveil


Wilfried Zaha is a notable absentee in Crystal Palace's unveiling video for their new away kit.

Whether the attacker may simply have been too busy due to AFCON commitments with Ivory Coast, fans are speculating that his absence is a sure sign that he will leave in the summer.

Paris Saint-Germain have reopened talks to extend Thomas Meunier's contract with the French champions, according to le10sport.

The Belgian had been linked with both Atletico Madrid and Everton and appeared to be looking for a way out of the Ligue 1 champions.

The report claims Meunier has assessed his options, however, and now prefers to remain in Paris.

Reds block Kent loan move


Liverpool have 'blocked' Ryan Kent from making another loan move, according to the Mirror.

After enjoying a stand-out season last term at Rangers, the winger had been linked with a move to Leeds for the 2019-20 campaign, but the Reds have included the 22-year-old in their squad for their pre-season trip to the US.

Dons tie down management duo


Aberdeen have secured the services of manager Derek McInnes and assistant boss Tony Dochery until the summer of 2022.

Highly rated in his native Scotland, McInnes had been linked with a move to England.

The Portugal international spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter but has returned to Saints and could move on permanently. 

All three clubs have reportedly contacted the south coast side about Soares' situation.

Romelu Lukaku missed Manchester United's training session in Melbourne on Thursday.

The Belgium international has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer.

However, the club confirmed Lukaku, along with Anthony Martial, completed alternative gym-based training (via the MEN).

Galatasaray have confirmed they are in talks with Sevilla over the sale of former Manchester City midfielder Fernando.

Bruce to be announced by Newcastle this week


Steve Bruce will be announced as Newcastle manager before this weekend, according to The Telegraph

The Magpies are hopeful Bruce will be able to join the first-team squad on their tour to China next week. 

Bruce has been the hot favourite to replace Rafa Benitez since it was announced the Spaniard would depart St James' Park at the end of last month.

QPR aim to complete Cameron deal


Queens Park Rangers are keen to sign Stoke full-back Geoff Cameron on a permanent deal, reports West London Sport.

The 34-year-old spent last season on loan at Loftus Road and has previously said he is keen to return to QPR.

Forsberg's agent demands action from RB Leipzig


Emil Forsberg's agent wants RB Leipzig to either give his client a salary increase or put him on the transfer list.

Forsberg want to sign a deal until 2022 or leave the Bundesliga club in the next few weeks. 

His agent said: "Emil is obviously disappointed, he has a chance to take the next step, and now the people who made promises to him last year do not stick to it."

West Ham eye Haller


West Ham are considering an approach for Sebastien Haller, according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport (via Kicker).

The Hammers lost out on a deal for Celta Vigo forward Maximiliano Gomez, who is nearing a move to Valencia.

Manuel Pellegrini is also interested in bringing Gonzalo Higuain to the London Stadium, with a striker top of his transfer agenda. 


Man Utd prepare £72m Milinkovic-Savic offer


Manchester United are set to offer Lazio £72 million ($90m) for midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, reports Sky in Italy.

The Serie A club reportedly value the 24-year-old at £90m ($112m), and will not accept less.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may need to reinforce his midfield options if Paul Pogba were to leave Old Trafford this summer.

Bergwijn's agent denies transfer demands


Steven Bergwijn's agent has denied he put a deadline on his client's potential move from PSV to Bayern Munich.

It had been reported that Fulco van Kooperen had demanded the Bavarian club got a deal in place by the end of the week.

But Van Kooperen told ESPN: "We never said that we lose patience. 

"Bayern are a great club and it's great that they are interested in Steven, they can all take the time they need."

Bayern inaction frustrates Werner


RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner is frustrated by the lack of an approach from Bayern Munich, reports Kicker.

The Bavarian club is reportedly waiting to get a deal for Leroy Sane over the line before they move for Werner.

The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

'Real Madrid are demanding too much for James'


James Rodriguez wants to move to Napoli but the club are yet to agree a transfer fee with Real Madrid, according to the Serie A side's chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis.

The Colombia international worked with Carlo Ancelotti during his time with Los Blancos and Bayern Munich, and De Laurentiis has confirmed the Italian is keen to bring his former player to Naples.

Striker keen to join Inter this summer

Romelu Lukaku has told Manchester United he wants to leave, with the striker keen to join Inter, claims ESPN FC.

The Belgium international fears he is no longer a first choice for United, but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen for Lukaku to fight for his place after confirming there have been no bids.

However, Inter have reportedly been holding talks over a deal to sign Lukaku. Reports claim United want an offer of £80 million ($100m) before considering a sale, with the club not interested in a loan or player swap.

Aston Villa to complete £12m Konsa deal


Aston Villa will complete the £12 million ($15m) signing of Ezri Konsa on Thursday morning after the Brentford defender completed a medical on Wednesday night, reports Sky Sports News.

Konsa was signed by Villa manager Dean Smith for Brentford last season and his release clause has been met by the Premier League newcomers.

The England Under 21 international is expected to be announced as Villa’s latest signing once a few final contract details have been sorted.

Celtic lose out to Stoke for Smith


With Neil Lennon in the market for a new right-back, Celtic had been interested in signing Huddersfield Town defender Tommy Smith.

However, Lennon will likely have to look elsewhere for his new recruit as Smith is expected to sign for Stoke City, according to the Daily Record.

Celtic were willing to pay around £2.5 million for Smith, but the full-back has instead decided to stay in the Championship with Stoke.

Real Madrid forget about Neymar


Brazilian star no longer a target for Spanish giants

Unsettled Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar is no longer a summer transfer target for Real Madrid, claims AS.

Neymar has been told he can leave PSG, if the right offer comes in, and reports claim the Ligue 1 champions would prefer the Brazilian to join Madrid rather than return to Barcelona.

However, while Madrid president Florentino Perez has previously been keen to recruit Neymar, the Spanish giants are no longer interested in a deal.

The forward’s PSG team-mate Kylian Mbappe remains Madrid’s primary long-term target.

Juventus increase De Ligt bid to €67m


Talks continue, with Ajax demanding €75m for defender

Juventus have increased their offer for Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt to €67 million (£60m/$75.5m), according to De Telegraaf.

De Ligt has already agreed on personal terms over a move to Turin, but Ajax value the Netherlands international at €75m (£67m/$85m).

Serie A champions Juve are hoping to conclude the deal this week so they can present De Ligt as a new signing on Saturday and take the centre-half on their pre-season tour to Asia.

Celtic target two defensive signings


Celtic manager Neil Lennon is still hoping to sign two more defenders before the close of the summer transfer window.

Lennon used Nir Bitton at centre-half in the Champions League qualifying win over FK Sarajevo on Tuesday as new signing Christopher Jullien was not ready to play, while Kristoffer Ajer had to play at right-back.

“Nir can play at the back, but it’s not ideal,” said Lennon. “Christopher isn’t up to speed yet and we are still looking to strengthen there, too.

“Right-back is a key area to strengthen. Kristoffer was outstanding, but we are looking to bring quality in. It’s not an easy process, but we are working away in the background.”

Sam Allardyce offered Newcastle return


Sam Allardyce was offered a return to Newcastle last week. 

The Daily Mail claim owner Mike Ashley identified the 64-year-old as the replacement for Rafa Benitez. 

Concerns over the club's recruitment process killed off the deal, with the manager worried he wouldn't have any say over the players brought in. 

Sassuolo want Dortmund centre-back Toprak


Sassuolo are looking to Borussia Dortmund centre-back Omer Toprak. 

Gianluca di Marzio​ reports that the club are speaking to the player and will move to negotiate with the German side should they find personal terms. 

Cagliari interested in Napoli's Rog


Cagliari are looking at Napoli's Marko Rog as a potential replacement for Nicolo Barella. 

Gianluca di Marzio reports that the club are already facing competition from Genoa​ for the midfielder. 

Everton interested in £59m Pepe


Everton are interested in landing Lille forward Nicolas Pepe. 

The Telegraph reports the forward would cost a club-record €65 million (£59m​/$74m). 

Pepe has also been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer. 

Arsenal prepare bumper deal for Zaha


Arsenal are prepared to offer £40 million plus three players to convince Crystal Palace to sell Wilfred Zaha, claims the Sun

After seeing a first bid rebuffed, the Gunners could send Calum Chambers, Mohamed Elneny and Carl Jenkinson to south London in order to seal the deal.

West Ham declare interest in Higuain


West Ham United have lined up Gonzalo Higuain as a potential reinforcement in attack, according to

Higuain, who had two unsuccessful loan spells in 2018-19 with AC Milan and Chelsea, is not expected to be in Juventus' plans for the coming season and has been made available for a transfer.

The Hammers hope to agree a loan plus future option deal for the former Argentina international after missing out on Celta's Maxi Gomez.

Manchester City are set to renew their efforts to sign Brazil star Dani Alves, reports Globoesporte

The veteran right-back is now a free agent after cutting his ties with Paris Saint-Germain following just two seasons in Ligue 1

And a reunion with Pep Guardiola now looks a distinct possibility, although there is another club reportedly interested in his services.
