Free agent Hatem Ben Arfa could join Nice to play alongside Mario Balotelli, RMC Sport reports.

The 31-year-old spent the 2015-16 season at the club, where he hit a career-high 17 goals in 34 league games. He would like to return to his former team, especially with Balotelli deciding to extend his stay in the south French city.

Ben Arfa has been without a club since his Paris Saint-Germain contract expired at the end of last season.

Sevilla are looking at bringing in Shinji Kagawa from Borussia Dortmund, according to El Desmarque.

The 29 year old former Manchester United attacker is said to be looking to leave Dortmund and could head for La Liga before the transfer window closes next week.

Marseille are also said to be interested in the Japan international.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has stressed the importance of keeping Eden Hazard at the club.

The Belgium international is a long-standing target for Spanish giants Real Madrid and is said to be open to a move to La Liga.

Sarri, however, believes that the forward's importance to the Blues is too much to let him go.

The Juventus striker snubbed an offer to join the Red Devils

Manchester United failed in a summer bid to sign Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic, per Calciomercato.

Jose Mourinho was ready to offer the Croatia international a salary of €5 million-per-season, but Massimiliano Allegri persuaded the 32-year-old to remain in Turin.

Pep Guardiola says Manchester City will not sign a replacement for goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.

The Chile international is set to miss six months of action due to a ruptured Achilles' tendon but Guardiola says he trusts Montenegro Under-21 stopper Aro Muric to step in as back-up to No.1 Ederson.

"Unfortunately with Claudio the first option was [for Muric] to come back because the window is closed. We have Aro and Grimshaw. They will be our three goalkeepers."

Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that Eden Hazard will stay at Chelsea despite interest from Real Madrid.

The Spanish club have been heavily linked with the Belgium international, but Sarri does not intend to let him go, either this summer or in January.

“I am the coach of a very good team," he said. "I am the coach of a very great club. And so I think that such an important club cannot sell a very important player without the possibility of buying another very important player at the same level.

"So I think that Eden will stay with us for all the season.”

Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that Ruben Loftus-Cheek will stay at Chelsea this summer.

The England international had been linked with a loan move to the continent, but Sarri intends to utilise his talents at Stamford Bridge.

"I think Loftus-Cheek will remain with us, we can speak again about him but only in December," he said.

Manchester City are considering signing former Liverpool and Crystal Palace goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri on a free transfer, according to Globo Esporte.

Claudio Bravo could miss the entirety of the season, and City currently have 20-year-old Daniel Grimshaw and 19-year-old Aro Muric as back-ups to first-choice Ederson, leading them to consider the experience of 35-year-old Cavalieri.

Real Madrid are poised to gazump Barcelona in the race to sign PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot, per Don Balon.

Rabiot has yet to sign a new contract at Parc des Princes and is wanted by both Spanish giants.

Real hope they can convince the 23-year-old to join the club before the end of the transfer window, with the market due to close in the next week.

Jose Mourinho would have resigned from any other club than Manchester United by now, per the Daily Mirror.

Mourinho is seething that Ed Woodward was unable to purchase his major summer targets, and has told friends he would have quit if he were in charge of any other side.

Indeed, the Portuguese feels undermined by Woodward's failures in the market, and it remains to be seen if he will remain for the duration of his third season in charge.

Liverpool will not loan out Divock Origi this summer, despite being in discussions with Borussia Dortmund over a move.

The Belgian striker will remain at Anfield, after Dortmund failed to meet the Reds' asking price. They are instead pursuing Barcelona's Paco Alcacer.

Real Madrid are prepared to pay Iago Aspas' €40 million (£36m/$46m) release clause, per Super Deporte.

The Spanish club are desperate to sign a striker this summer and they have now identified Celta Vigo star Aspas as a potential acquisition.

AC Milan are in talks with PSG over a move for Adrien Rabiot, per Le10Sport via Bleacher Report.

Rabiot has refused a contract extension at the French club and he is also wanted by Barcelona, Juventus, Roma and Inter Milan.

Manchester United will provide Jose Mourinho with money to spend in January, according to The Sun.

However, the United heirarchy will only spend if they feel a player is good value, and won't let Mourinho force their hand. 

Toby Alderweireld will likely be back on United's radar in January, as the Red Devils hope to land the defender at a discount rate with six months remaining on his contract.

Zinedine Zidane wants the Manchester United job if Jose Mourinho is sacked, reports the Daily Mail.

With Mourinho under pressure, the United hierarchy will put together a contingency plan should they decide to remove the Portuguese from the job.

Former Real Madrid manager Zidane has told friends he is interested in the role and expects an offer should it become available. 

Aston Villa are nearing loan deals for Everton winger Yannick Bolasie and Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, claims The Sun.

Abraham, 20, has interest from Germany, France and the Netherlands, but he could return to the Championship after starring for Bristol City two seasons ago.

Bolasie, 29, has missed a large portion of the past two seasons with injury and is looking to find regular minutes. 

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to sell Danny Rose, according to the Daily Mail.

PSG and Schalke have both shown interest in the 28-year-old, who could leave Spurs before the end of August. 

Pochettino is comfortable with his options at left-back, even though Tottenham will not be able to bring in a replacement for Rose until January at the earliest. 

Manchester United are nearing the signing of Lukasz Bejger from Lech Poznan, reports the Manchester Evening News. 

Bejger, 16, can play centre-back or right-back, and recently captained Poland's U-16 side. 

Manchester City were also after Bejger, but the Red Devils have beaten their rivals to the teenager's signature. 

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is staying calm on Sadio Mane’s contract situation.

Though Mane's contract has three years remaining, the Senegal star is in line for a new deal after becoming an integral part of the club's success.

The Reds insist meetings last year were informal

Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group insist the club is not for sale following reports of a failed £2 billion ($2.6bn) takeover attempt from an Abu Dhabi consortium earlier this year.

A report in the Daily Mail on Thursday stated that Sheikh Khaled Bin Zayed Al Nehayan, the cousin of Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour, approached representatives of the Reds’ American owners in late 2017, with a view to a world-record buy-out of the Anfield club.

While Liverpool chairman Tom Werner did meet with Mansour's managing director, Goal understands that the meeting was informal and that Sheikh Khaled’s “proposal of interest” was handled, as all such proposals are, by Allen and Company, the New York-based investment bank hired by FSG to advise on numerous issues, including investment enquiries.

Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara is a target for Real Madrid in the next two transfer windows, according to Don Balon.

The former Barcelona man finds himself out of the Bundesliga champions' plans and was hoping for a return to his old club, but Arturo Vidal's signing makes that unlikely.

Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui wants to add Thiago, and Florentino Perez is willing to grant him that wish, possibly before the close of the summer window, though the president would prefer it to happen in January. 

Barcelona believe Rafinha is more likely to stay with the club than leave, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Real Betis are looking to take the midfielder on loan with an option to buy, but negotiations are not progressing. 

The 25-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter, where he scored two goals in 17 appearances. 

The La Liga club wants a marquee signing and the United man fits the bill.

Sevilla are hoping to land Anthony Martial from Manchester United before the transfer window closes, claims Marca. 

The La Liga club are looking for a big-name signing to excite their fans, with PSG's Julian Draxler also reportedly on their radar. 

Martial started and played 60 minutes in United's 3-2 loss to Brighton on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola is prepared to reject any Besiktas offers for Fabian Delph, reports the Daily Star.

The Turkish side are reportedly lining up a season-long loan bid for the 28-year-old, who helped Man City to the title last season by playing an unfamiliar left-back role. 

But even with Benjamin Mendy back, Guardiola sees Delph as too valuable to let go. 

Mario Balotelli has admitted he wanted to leave Nice at the end of last season and had several offers to exit the club. 

He has, however, decided to stay put and honour his contract with the Ligue 1 club.
