Matchday LIVE: Final day action from Premier League, Serie A and Ligue 1

Chelsea, who play Aston Villa, start the day in third place with 67 points. Liverpool and Leicester are tied on 66 points each, but the Reds have a better goal difference. Jurgen Klopp's side take on Crystal Palace (in what will be Roy Hodgson's last-ever game) and Brendan Rodgers' men play Tottenham. The side narrative of St Totteringham's Day and north-London enmity will also play out this afternoon, with Arsenal - who play Brighton - hoping to leapfrog ther rivals Spurs, though things are very much out of the hands of Mikel Arteta's side. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/serie-a/1r097lpxe0xn03ihb7wi98kao" target="_blank">SERIE A</a> Inter are already champions, but the make-up of second to fifth is changeable. Second-place Atalanta play third-place AC Milan, who need to win if they want to leapfrog the Bergamo side. Mauricio Pochettino's side, meanwhile, must get a result against Brest and hope that Lille slip up. Monaco are three points behind Lille and even if results go their way, they'll need luck to make up for their goal difference.

Breaking news out of Napoli; president&nbsp;Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed on Twitter that the club has parted ways with&nbsp;Gennaro Gattuso. The former World Cup winner arrived in December 2019 following his exit from Milan, and led them to the Coppa Italia last term. But evidently, the failure to qualify for the Champions League is the last straw for the club. Giorgio Chiellini has been speaking to DAZN in the wake of Juventus' fortune-favours-the-bold gamble to reach the Champions League, and it is fair to say that he did not expect to be in such a position at the end of the day. “We are happy for the coach, it was his first season and it was not easy. We had nothing to lose, we could only win," he says." “We didn’t have pressure and we had the right approach. Who goes where in Europe?

It feels weird chalking up this campaign as a failure for PSG - after all, they snagged silverware and made it to the last four of the Champions League. But this one stings. They surrender their almost customary grasp on the Ligue 1 title by the barest of margins and finish second. They will still be at the top of the tree, at home and abroad, next year. For a club used to success however, it is still a bitter pill of a season to swallow.

It is all over in Brest - and despite their best efforts, Paris Saint-Germain can only finsih second in Ligue 1. Mauricio Pochettino loses their grip on the French crown in his first campaign at the helm. Despite their victory, it is a hollow result. The players - Kylian Mbappe included, who looks particularly nonplussed - shake the hands of their opponents and wander from the field. There will be a full debrief in the weeks to come but it will be curious to see how the fallout rolls from here. As for Mbappe, is that his final game in PSG colours? Only time will tell.

They've done it! Lille are the winners of the 2020-21 Ligue 1 title after a superb season! Christophe Galtier's men have seen off Angers to confirm their coronation. Paris Saint-Germain, no matter what now, cannot overhaul them. Players and staff members flood the pitch in pure jubilation. Daft Punk's One More Time blares distantly out of the speakers. It is elation of the highest order. They are deserved champions of France.

Hello, what's this? Angers, deep into two minutes of injury time, have pulled one back against the presumed Ligue 1 champions. Angelo Fulgini is the man with the finish and now Lille face a nervy final half-minute. If they somehow concede again... well, it bears not thinking about for&nbsp;Christophe Galtier.

The Great Escape - of a sort - for Juventus is complete! Andrea Pirlo's side make it to the Champions League with the final gasp of the season in their lungs. They join Milan and Atalanta, alongside champions Inter, at the top tier of European competition. Napoli will have to settle for the Europa League.

Their place at the European high table is assured now, even for the hosts in defeat. Brendan Rodgers has offered some words on Leicester's day from hell against Tottenham, and the Northern Irishman is a much more dejected figure than the one who lifted the FA Cup the other week.
