La Liga weekend preview: Betting tips and both teams to score

Cadiz vs Alaves - Both teams to score 'no' and under 2.5 goals at 4/5 (1.80) with bet365

The visitors are La Liga's lowest scoring side having managed just two goals in eight matches, with Alaves looking woefully short of ideas in the final third.

Cadiz meanwhile are also struggling, netting just once in the last four games and generally looking like a side devoid of confidence.

This bet has paid out in four of Cadiz's last six games and in six of Alaves' last seven making it a highly attractive option.

Elche vs Espanyol - Both teams to score at 21/20 (2.05) with bet365

The hosts remain one of the most effective sides in La Liga in terms of converting shots to goals.

Fran Escriba's men average one of the lowest totals of shots per game in the division but have still managed to net in six of their last seven matches.

Espanyol meanwhile have won back-to-back La Liga matches for the first time since March 2019 and are finally showing the kind of attacking form we expected from a side boasting several excellent forward players.

Real Betis vs Rayo Vallecano - Rayo Vallecano to score in the first half at 6/4 (2.50) with bet365

Andoni Iraola's side begin the weekend as the second top scorers in La Liga after a blistering start to the campaign and their total of 15 goals is bettered only by Real Madrid.

While the majority of those goals have come at home, Rayo have also scored in two of their last three away games and backing them to net in the first half against Betis appeals.

This bet has paid out in five of Rayo's last seven games and with Betis having been in Europa League action on Thursday night they may be a little sluggish for Sunday's game.

Athletic Club vs Villarreal - Draw at 2/1 (3.00) with bet365

Villarreal are La Liga's draw specialists with five of their eight games this season ending in stalemates.

Athletic are not far behind them with four draws so far this term. Four of the last five meetings between these sides have ended as draws and these two well-matched sides may well cancel each other out once more in Bilbao.
