Johnson: Platinum Stars eager to keep Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mkhabela permanently

Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson says they will evaluate Enocent Mkhabela's performances at the club, before contemplating keeping him permanently.

“It will depend on his performances at the end of the season whether we keep him or not, but Mkhabela has been a Platinum Stars player previously," Johnson told Goal.

"He did very well for us before he moved to SuperSport (United). So, we like the way he plays, the way he is and the way he conducts himself,” he added.

“He came to us towards the end of the season and we will look at how many games he has played for Platinum Stars and then we will look at negotiating with Kaizer Chiefs to keep him permanently,” he said.

“The fact that he is on-loan, he has done a good job and we have to remember that he hasn’t played regular football in the last two years,” Johnson concluded.

Mkhabela has made nine appearances in all major local competitions - scoring one goal in the process which was against Cape Town City three weeks ago.
