Marek Hamsik is ready to play for a “very big club”, according to Slovakia coach Jan Kozak.
The Napoli midfielder starred in his side’s 2-1 victory over Russia on Wednesday and scored a stunning effort to give his side a two-goal lead before half-time.
The 28-year-old has played for Napoli since 2007 but his national team coach believes the midfielder has the ability to play for a higher profile team.
“His performance was superb,” said Kozak.
“He helped a lot in defence and scored a beautiful goal which was a major contribution to our victory.
“I don't know whether we will be here long enough for him to become one of the top players of the finals, but what we can say is that he has matured as a person and as a player at Napoli - he is ready to play for a very big club.”
