Team news

Mechack Jerome is out through injury after rupturing his Achilles’ tendon in the opening group game against Bermuda.

Rodolfo Pizarro is likely to get the nod after impressing on his first start of the competition against Costa Rica, while Hector Moreno could also be in contention after coming on as a substitute in extra-time. However, Erick Gutierrez remains doubtful due to an ankle injury.

Preview

Marc Collat’s side certainly doesn’t know when it is beaten, having come from behind in three of their four victorious matches in the USA this summer.

That confident attitude makes them a dangerous opponent for the favourites, who are hardly looking solid at the back after keeping just one clean sheet in 17 fixtures.

Predictions

In fact, odds of 6/4 (2.50) seem generous on both teams getting on target for Haiti’s sixth match in seven, and an eighth in nine for Mexico.
