FC IfeanyiUbah’s Jimoh Gbadamosi unhappy at his suspension for Go Round clash

FC IfeanyiUbah’s Jimoh Gbadamosi has rued the red card he got in his team’s last away game against Nasarawa United which has ruled him out of Sunday’s elite division duel with Go Round in Nnewi

The Anambra Warriors will be hosting the team from Lafia without three of their top talent who are either injured, sick or suspended for the game billed for the Ifeanyi Ubah Stadium, Nnewi but Gbadamosi informed that he was still amiss at what caused his second bookable offense which earned him a dismissal in a league tie they eventually lost by a lone goal scored off the boot of Anas Yusuf.

He has charged his teammates to rise up to the occasion and secure three crucial points that will boost their hope of qualifying for the playoffs at the end of the season.

The no-nonsense central defender opined that the Anambra Warriors must take the game with Go Round seriously and adopt the mentality of the clubs based in the north who see their home games as winnable at all times.

“I will say I am not happy that I won’t be able to play in the game with Go Round but I know we have players that are capable that can take the place of the players that are not available for the game,” Gbadamosi told GOAL.

“This is a game we must win fair and square on the pitch. We played very well against Nasarawa United but what I have learned at the end of that game is that northern teams do not joke with their home matches. They must do everything necessary to ensure that they win their game. We played very well in Lafia but the red card I got disrupted our game plan and when they scored their only goal of the game, they were able to sit on it without stress. We must learn from them.

“We are at the important period of the season and we cannot afford to joke with any point in our quest to qualify for the playoffs. Go Round is a good team but we must show them that we are at home and we must bag the three points. We already showed them the stuff we are made of with the draw we got in Omoku at the beginning of the season.”

Uche Okagbue’s men are in the third spot in the NPFL Group B with 24 points from 14 games and they are up against Go Round who have 21 points from 14 matches also.
