Dennis, Tau, Okereke and Diagne celebrate Club Brugge's Belgian league triumph

Nigeria duo Emmanuel Dennis and David Okereke, South Africa's Percy Tau, Ivory Coast defender Simon Deli and Senegal forward Mbaye Diagne have taken to social media to celebrate Club Brugge’s success at the end of the 2019-20 Belgian First Division A season.

Philippe Clement's men were awarded the top-flight title in Belgium after the league was concluded by the authorities on Friday.

Club Brugge ended the campaign with 70 points from 29 matches, and they held a 15-point gap ahead of second-place Gent. They have also qualified for the group stage of the 2020-21 Champions League.

Nine African stars were on parade for Club Brugge during the season and they played significant roles in securing the Blue-Black's 16th league title with their contributions.

Okereke ended the campaign as the second-highest goalscorer in the team with nine goals in 22 league appearances, behind Hans Vanaken [13 goals], Senegal's Krepin Diatta followed with seven goals while Dennis managed five efforts in 20 league matches.

Diagne who is on a season-long loan from Galatasaray, returned four goals in six matches while Tau who moved to Belgium from Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion, registered three goals in 18 league games.
