Arsenal continue their pre-season on Monday night when they face MLS side Colorado Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

A Gunners XI, largely comprised of academy players, drew 3-3 at Boreham Wood earlier in the month but this fixture is set to feature first team members.

Latest Odds

Unsurprisingly bet365 make Arsenal 4/9 (1.44) favourites to win this friendly match, whilst the draw is available at 7/2 (4.50).

The Rapids have won just one of their last five competitive matches and are 11/2 (6.50) to claim a morale-boosting victory here.

Team News

Captain Laurent Koscielny has refused to travel amidst rumours of a transfer, whilst the likes of Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock will aim to impress. Tyreece John-Jules scored twice against Boreham Wood so will hope to play some part here.

Colorado are missing Kortne Ford and Deklan Wynne but Conor Casey could put out a weakened side for this one, with his side having played as recently as Saturday night in Portland.

Preview

Arsenal should have few problems kicking off their four-match tour of the USA on the right note, despite the off-field problems plaguing the club involving owner Stan Kroenke - who also owns the Rapids.

Stars of last season including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are likely to play at least one half of the match, which could spell trouble for Colorado considering the duo netted 50 goals between them last season.

However, the Gunners are yet to address their defensive woes that saw them keep just eight Premier League clean sheets last term and even a tired Colorado side could find a way through.

Tips and Predictions

The Rapids have netted in each of their last 12 games, last failing to do so back in April, and the 15/8 (2.87) price on Arsenal to win and both teams to score looks like a good way for punters to maintain interest in this friendly match.
