Scotlands versus England is never a dull encounter, regardless of what the football is like on the pitch, but 1996 saw the international derby put to bed in stunning form by Paul Gascoigne.

With England 1-0 up, Gary McAllister was gearing up to restore parity from the penalty spot late in the game but saw his effort saved by David Seaman.

A quick counter attack ensued, with Gazza racing through the middle. With his first touch, the attacker chipped his marker with his left before finishing low and hard with his right to tie things up at 2-0 and secure bragging rights for the Three Lions.
