Chinese club Hangzhou Greentown hoping to conclude deal to sign South African striker Dino Ndlovu

Chinese club Hangzhou Greentown are discussing a potential deal to sign South Africa international Dino Ndlovu.

The striker has gained a lot of prominence in Europe since last year - having helped his side Qarabag win the Azerbaijan Premier League title and also qualify for this season's Uefa Champions League group stage.

His exploits have not gone unnoticed as Greentown, who are campaigning in the Chinese League One, have opened talks with Qarabag for the 27-year-old's signature.

It is believed that Qarabag have put a staggering R16 million price tag on Ndlovu, who has scored 15 goals in 36 league games for the Horsemen since joining the club from Cypriot side Anorthosis Famagusta FC in 2016.

"Talks between the two clubs are ongoing. It will be a lucrative deal once it is concluded," the source added.

Ndlovu, who has also been linked with Romanian outfit CFR Cluj, has six months left on his contract with Qarabag.

As things stand, he will be able to sign a pre-contract with any club from January, 2018 onwards.
