Chelsea 2023-24 pre-season tour squad

Mauricio Pochettino has named his 29-man squad for Chelsea's pre-season tour in the United States, with no places for fringe transfer-linked stars Hakim Ziyech, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, or Romelu Lukaku on the flight.

After selling or releasing more than ten members of their senior squad from last season, Chelsea are moving a youthful group of players to America as they prepare for the 2023/24 season under new management.

New signings Christopher Nkunku, Andrey Santos, Nicolas Jackson and Malo Gusto are all among those on the plane, as are a host of young academy stars.

Four other first-team stars also haven't been named by the new Chelsea boss. Wesley Fofana is also left out due to a knee problem, while Marcus Bettinelli, Benoit Badiashile and Armando Broja have all stayed behind at Cobham as they continue their respective recoveries from injury.
