Champions League Betting: How the bookies see the semi-finals

Barcelona and Ajax are favourites to meet in the Champions League final ahead the semi-final first legs this week.

bet365 make Barca 3/4 (1.75) to beat Liverpool over two legs and reach the showpiece for the first time in four years, with Ernesto Valverde’s men a 17/20 (1.85) shot to take a lead back to Anfield on Wednesday.

The Blaugrana beat Manchester United 4-0 on aggregate in the quarter-finals and so will fancy their chances of overcoming a second Premier League side, especially with Liverpool involved in the title race.

It is even money (2.0) that the Reds qualify for their second Champions League final in as many seasons whilst they are out at 10/3 (4.33) to win at Camp Nou – a ground they are unbeaten at in four visits.

Both teams to score is priced at 8/13 (1.62), which is of little surprise considering Liverpool have netted in every Champions League away game this season except one, whilst Barcelona have scored 15 goals in five home matches.

The other semi-final presents a similarly tantalising affair as giant-killers Ajax take on Tottenham Hotspur, with the Dutch side 3/4 (1.75) to beat the north London outfit across two legs.

Ajax have come from behind to beat Real Madrid and Juventus so far in the tournament, winning away games against both European heavyweights, and are 19/10 (2.90) to inflict the same damage on Spurs in London.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are Evens (2.0) to reach a first ever Champions League final and will certainly be in high spirits, too, after they beat favourites Manchester City on away goals in the previous round.

They are 8/5 (2.40) favourites to take the advantage back to Amsterdam but could have as many as six players injured or suspended, including Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
