Fresh from producing one of the biggest upsets of the tournament so far, Comoros are looking to spring another surprise when they meet Cameroon in the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16.

The competition hosts had no trouble making it to the knockout stages, though, and will be confident of overpowering the minnows in Yaounde on Monday.

Cameroon vs Comoros latest odds

Afcon minnows Comoros pulled off one big shock by beating Ghana to make it this far and are 40/1 to kill off another giant this time around.

The two teams last met during the qualification phase for the 2019 edition of the tournament and played out a 1-1 draw in their first match, and you can get 12/1 for them to cancel each other out again.

Cameroon vs Comoros first goalscorer

Vincent Aboubakar is currently the top scorer in the competition, having struck five times in his first three matches.

The Al Nassr star is available at 12/5 to be the first goalscorer in the clash with Comoros, while Clinton N'Jie is 3/1. Cameroon’s second-top scorer, Karl Toko Ekambi, can be backed at 15/4.

As for Comoros, Ahmed Mogni has struck twice already in the competition and is available at 50/1 to strike first and El Fardou Ben, the only other player to score for them so far, is set at 33/1.

Cameroon vs Comoros preview

Comoros head into their first ever Afcon knockout tie with a serious conundrum in goal. The minnows do not have a recognised goalkeeper after seeing their side hit by injuries and Covid-19.

Goalkeepers Moyadh Ousseini and Ali Ahamada have tested positive for Covid-19, while Salim Ben Boina is out injured. However, there are reports that Ahamada has tested negative on the morning of the game.

A total of 12 players have been ruled out through Covid-19 and coach Amir Abdou will be absent from the contest after returning a positive test, too.

Cameroon, meanwhile, do not have any injury or suspension worries heading into this match and should be able to field their strongest team for the knockout tie.

Cameroon vs Comoros tips & predictions

As Cameroon are such big favourites and Comoros are stuck with an oufield player in goal, betting on over 2.5 goals at 4/9 is an appealing bet.
