The final day of Ligue 1 takes place on Friday night with three teams all looking to avoid finishing 18th and going into a relegation play-off.
Caen currently occupy that spot and trail Amiens by two points, whilst Monaco sit a further point ahead. Whichever side finishes in 18th will play the winner of the Ligue 2 play-off over two legs to determine who will play in the top-flight next season.
Only a win will do for Caen if they are to harbour any hope of avoiding a play-off and 888Sport make them 3/4 (1.75) favourites to see off Bordeaux on Friday night, with the visitors out at 4/1 (5.0) and the draw 49/20 (3.45).
The price on a home win may seem short for a team fighting for survival but, given their recent form, 3/4 (1.75) actually represents good value for the northern outfit.
Fabien Mercadal’s men were bottom of the league with just 24 points to their name only five games ago, but three wins and a draw since then has propelled them to within a fighting chance of safety.
Two of those victories came against bottom-half sides and there was an impressive 3-2 success at home to Reims two weeks ago, which will certainly put Caen in good spirits for this one.
Bordeaux are the second-worst travellers in Ligue 1 behind basement side Guingamp, with just 11 points from their 18 games. They have also scored a mere nine goals away from home, conceding 21 and losing 11 times in the process.
The Girondins essentially secured their safety six weeks ago and have since lost six games in a row, failing to find the net on four of those occasions, and look set for another defeat at Stade Michel d'Ornano.
Sitting five points above their opponents, they have little to play for and given their recent form, it could be difficult for them to find any motivation for this one.
As such, the 3/4 (1.75) price on Caen to claim a potentially vital victory over Bordeaux on Friday night looks a solid price ahead of Ligue 1’s final matches of the season.
