Saturday evening sees the first of three big matches inside a week to be played at the Camp Nou.

La Liga leaders Sevilla visit this weekend, before Barca host Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday ahead of next weekend's Clasico against Real Madrid.

Sevilla head to Catalonia top of the table after four successive league wins during which time Barcelona and Madrid have only picked up one win between them.

While the visitors regularly cause Barcelona problems when they meet at the Estadio Sanchez Piazjuan, at the Camp Nou it is a slightly different story.

The Andalusians have not won a league game in Barca's stadium since 2002 and bet365 price them at 13/2 (7.50) to defy that trend. The Blaugrana are unbeaten at home in La Liga in their last 40 matches with their last defeat coming in September 2016. Barca are offered at just 1/3 (1.33) with the draw at 5/1 (6.00).

Team news

The injury to Thomas Vermaelen means he joins Samuel Umtiti as being unavailable for the game. That leaves just Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet as the Barca squad's only two fit centre-backs. Sergi Roberto and Luis Suarez returned to training this week and should be available.

For Sevilla, midfielders Maxime Gonalons and Ibrahim Amadou will be missing while defenders Sergio Escudero and Gabriel Mercado returned to training this week although they are unlikely to feature.

Preview

This tends to be one of the most entertaining fixtures in the La Liga calendar and the fact that Sevilla head to the Camp Nou as leaders brings with it a new dimension.

It remains to be seen whether or not Pablo Machin's side will be set up to claim the point that would keep them top of the table, or whether they will stick to their coach's attacking style.

The fact remains however that Sevilla are comfortably the top scoring side on the road in La Liga, while no one has netted more goals at home than Barca. The caveat to Barca's record is that eight of their 14 home goals came against bottom club Huesca.

Tips and predictions

Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in the game is priced at just 61/100 (1.61) which gives an indication that the goals are expected to flow at the Camp Nou.

Perhaps an interesting angle from which to back a high scoring game is investing in Sevilla to score over 1.5 goals at 7/4 (2.75).

Defensive doubts remain about a Barca side who this season have conceded two goals in their matches against Leganes, Girona and Huesca, and an in-form Sevilla team will feel they too can get among the goals at the Camp Nou.
