Barca's five matches without Messi have seen them produce at least three excellent performances and while the Argentine's brilliance will always be missed, the Blaugrana have enjoyed success in his absence.
Most notable was the 5-1 destruction of Real Madrid in El Clasico, although Barca's best showing was perhaps their 2-0 win over Inter in the Champions League.
