Atletico Madrid v Arsenal Betting Tips: Gunners to struggle against Griezmann and Costa

The last visiting team to score a goal at Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano stadium were Girona back on 20 January, showing just how tough Arsenal will have it on Thursday night.

Since then, Diego Simeone's men have kept 11 consecutive home clean sheets and the Gunners know they must end that record to stand any chance of making the Europa League final.

Arsenal's scoring form on the road in the competition has been strong, though, as they have netted at least twice in all three of their away matches in the knockout stages.

Latest odds

It was Arsenal's top scorer this season Alexandre Lacazette who netted in the first leg last week and bet365 price the Frenchman at 12/5 (3.40) in the anytime goalscorer market.

Certainly, if the Gunners are to find the back of the net, Lacazette seems the most likely to score with the 26-year-old netting in each of his last three games.

Arsenal's top scorer in the Europa League is Aaron Ramsey with four strikes, all of which have come in the knockout stages and three of them away from home.

The Welshman is priced at 5/1 (6.00) to find the back of the net and at 14/1 (15.00) to break the deadlock.

Costa returns against a familiar opponent

Diego Costa missed last week's trip to north London but the Spain international should return on Thursday evening after featuring on Sunday in La Liga.

During his time at Chelsea, the Spaniard enjoyed his matches against Arsenal with three goals in six appearances against them, although since rejoining Atleti in January he has only netted six times in all competitions.

Costa can be backed at 7/5 (2.40) to score at anytime and at 15/2 (8.50) to net two or more.

Tips and predictions

The most in-form player on the pitch, however, is Antoine Griezmann with the 27-year-old having netted four Europa League goals this term.

Griezmann will surely start once more on Thursday and the price of 11/10 (2.10) for him to score is hard to ignore considering his 27 goals in all competitions.

Saul Niguez also remains an attractive value bet option at 15/4 (4.75) to score his fourth Europa League goal of the season, considering his penchant to score in big games.
