Arsenal to edge past Tottenham in North London derby

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham will battle it out once again when they meet at the Emirates on Monday (1.30am AEST). 

With both teams coming into the fixture on the back of a defeat, Sportsbet is predicting a tight game with the hosts tipped to scrape a victory ($2.37) against Spurs ($2.88).

The Gunners started their season with a 1-0 win against Newcastle and then followed it up with a 2-1 victory against Burnley before losing 3-1 to Liverpool last week. 

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been in good form in front of goal for the Gunners. He found the back of the net in Arsenal's first two league matches and is tipped to be the first goalscorer in the derby at $4.50. Harry Kane, who also has two goals from three league matches, is priced at $5 to break the deadlock. The duo is priced at $1.91 and $2 respectively to score anytime in the game.

Spurs won 3-1 against Aston Villa in their season opener, then drew 2-2 with Manchester City before a shock 1-0 loss to Newcastle last week.

The Gunners seem to have found the better form early on in the season but the pressure of the North London rivalry cannot be discounted and a stalemate between the two teams can be fetched at $3.50. 

Arsenal and Tottenham have won two games each and played a 1-1 draw in their last five meetings. The North London derby usually produces an open, attacking game with plenty of goals and such a high-scoring contest (with over 2.5 goals) is being traded at $1.57. 

Spurs are yet to keep a clean sheet after three matches this season, while Arsenal have kept only one. The move to add David Luiz to the Gunners' defence is yet to pay off and there have been issues at the back for both teams. The hosts are at $3.75 to keep a clean sheet whereas the away team is at $4.50 for the same.
