UAE national team star Omar Abdulrahman is confident ahead of the team's 2018 World Cup qualifying match against Thailand.

The Al Ain playmaker claims the team is working well under the program set by new head coach Edgardo Bauza. stressing that the relationship between the players and coach is good.

"Most of the teams in Group B are still fighting for the qualification spots. I am confident that if we play the way we are capable of playing, we will prosper."

If there is any hope for UAE in catching Australia, who are seven points ahead in third place with an additional game played, they will have to win on Tuesday.

However, the UAE attack was silent against Australia and Japan in their last two outings, scoring no goals across 180 minutes. Similarly, Thailand were also quiet in their last two encounters, but conceded seven goals to the group’s best, Saudi Arabia and Japan.
