Manchester City have reached an agreement to sign Allan Elias from Brazil's Palmeiras, in a deal worth 40 million euros.
According to Britain's "The Athletic", the proposed deal consists of a fixed sum of 37.5 million euros, plus 2.5 million euros in variables and add-ons. The length of the contract has not yet been finally agreed.
The British newspaper reported on 20 August that City had identified Allan as one of several targets to bolster their attack, despite Palmeiras previously insisting the player was not for sale. Sources familiar with the Brazilian club's position put the release clause in his contract at 100 million euros.
City move for Allan after agreeing to sell winger Savinho to Tottenham Hotspur, with the north London club paying 75 million pounds up front and a further 10 million pounds in potential variables.
The Athletic also reported that Tottenham are making progress in talks to sign Omar Marmoush, Savinho's team-mate at Manchester City.
Allan will become City's third signing of the summer window, following Elliot Anderson's arrival from Nottingham Forest for 116 million pounds and the capture of 17-year-old Jeremy Monga from Leicester City.
Enzo Maresca's side are also preparing to complete a deal for 18-year-old midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, after agreeing a 95 million euro fee with Lille.
Allan came through the ranks at the Palmeiras academy and made his first-team debut for his parent club in January 2025.
The 22-year-old has featured in 96 matches for the side across all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists.
