City are already without several star players due to injury, with Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker among those still on the treatment table. Erling Haaland was an unused substitute in Wednesday's loss as Guardiola was scared of losing the Norwegian striker to a similar ailment.

WHAT GUARDIOLA SAID
Guardiola said in his post-match press conference: "We are 13 players, so it's really difficult. I think we are in trouble, because in nine years we've never had a situation with many, many injuries. In these situations, the players make a step forward, they are more together than ever. They will try to do more this week with a short time for recovery."
WHAT NEXT FOR MAN CITY?
City have three away games left before the November international break. They travel to Bournemouth on Saturday before jetting out to Lisbon to face Sporting CP in the Champions League three days later, and wrap up this portion of the season with a trip to Brighton.
