  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

This is not the first time Keane has been involved in a dispute with a football supporter as the former United player was assaulted by an Arsenal fan at the Emirates last year. The culprit was found guilty of headbutting the ex-Sunderland manager in what was called a "gratuitous and senseless act of violence" in court.

  • WHAT NEXT?

Keane, a regular Sky Sports pundit, will likely be covering a United game soon. Meanwhile, his old side drew 1-1 with Ipswich on Sunday in the Premier League.
