  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The last few weeks have been a much more enjoyable experience for Guardiola on the pitch but away from the dugout the Spaniard appeared as frustrated as ever when a group of autograph hunters approached him to sign a handful of shirts and posters. Manchester City's charismatic head coach was captured in the middle of a furious rant, telling those holding the memorabilia that they need to "go to school" before asking what their dreams are in a bid to end their hustle.

Guardiola said: "Don't come again, I will not sign again, I know your faces. Go to school and prepare yourselves, you are young, don't be here wasting your time. Do you want to live your life doing this? Honestly? Do you want to spend the rest of your life doing this? Prepare better, f*cking hell man. What are your dreams? Practice!"

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Guardiola will undoubtedly have no problem signing things for fans who are there just to meet him and create a memory, but there is a growing trend of people hunting autographs from famous faces regularly, before selling off the items for a profit. A lot of the time fans will wait outside training grounds and flag players down as they are leaving, only to list their signatures online a few hours later.

    WHAT NEXT FOR GUARDIOLA?

The incident will not distract Guardiola from his day job and his focus will be on City's trip to Brentford in the Premier League on Tuesday. The champions put on a show against Salford in the FA Cup on Saturday, scoring eight past their League Two opponents.
