The 16-year-old boasts some serious sporting genes, with his father savouring Premier League title success while becoming Manchester City’s all-time leading goalscorer. His grandfather claimed a global crown with Argentina in 1986.

Aguero junior also boasts strong ties to another GOAT of the football world, with eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi - a former international team-mate of his dad - boasting the honour of being his godfather.

With such an illustrious family tree in place, Aguero was never going to be short on talent. He has been proving as much in a video posted online which sees him sporting a retro Chelsea shirt from Fernando Torres’ time at Stamford Bridge.

Aguero shows that he can - as his father once did - hit the back of the net regardless of how big the goals in question are. He also has quick feet, much like Maradona, and is part of the academy system at Independiente - the club that helped to launch his dad’s career.
