VIDEO: Cristiano Ronaldo directs IShowSpeed in drum beating celebration after YouTube star watches CR7 score screamer in Al-Nassr's rout of Al-Fateh

  • Ronaldo helps IShowSpeed beat the drum

After Al-Nassr's dominating victory over Al Fateh in a Saudi Pro League clash, the players, led by captain Ronaldo, approached one end of the Al-Awwal Park to greet the home fans. In the stands, a drummer was in place to cue a round of thunderclaps, a celebration made popular by Iceland fans during Euro 2016, but YouTube sensation IShowSpeed was ultimately allowed to take charge of the post-match celebrations. Ronaldo was spotted giving instructions to the social media star to align his beats with the players and fans' clapping. The Portugal legend was later seen applauding Speed, who is also known to be a super fan of the 40-year-old footballer.

  • Ronaldo made up for missed penalty

Al-Nassr dominated proceedings right from the start and took the lead through Joao Felix's world-class strike in the 13th minute, before Al Fateh momentarily came back in the match as they scored an equaliser from a quick counter-attack at the start of the second half. Minutes later, Ronaldo had a golden opportunity to restore his team's lead as Al-Nassr was awarded a penalty but the superstar's spot-kick was brilliantly stopped by Al Fateh's Amin Bukhari. Ronaldo, however, made amends for the mistake almost immediately, as in the very next minute, he found the back of the net with a thunderous long-range shot as he rolled back the years. Felix later completed his second hat-trick of the season, while Kingsley Coman also got his name on the scoresheet. With the massive victory at home, Jorge Jesus' Al-Nassr side are now three points clear of Al-Taawoun at the top of the Saudi league table.

Hectic schedule awaits Ronaldo and Al-Nassr

After maintaining their 100 per cent record in the Saudi Pro League at the start of the new season with the win over Al Fateh, Ronaldo and Al-Nassr are scheduled to travel to South Asia in the coming week as the Saudi giants face Indian Super League side FC Goa in an AFC Champions League Two group stage clash. Including the away clash in India, Jesus' side will play a total of six matches in a span of 17 days until the next international break in November.

The Portuguese manager will have to manage the ageing Al-Nassr captain's minutes to keep him fresh for the entire season. Ronaldo seems to be on a mission to win titles this season, especially the Saudi Pro League, a trophy that has eluded the veteran star since he moved to the Middle East in January 2023.
