    WHAT HAPPENED?

Roma seized the lead just 15 minutes in as Romelu Lukaku scored a thundering rebound to give his side the advantage. It wouldn't last long, though, as Juventus stormed back with a goal of their own in the 31st minute.

That goal came from Gleison Bremer, who smashed home a header after jumping up and over two Roma defenders. The credit, though, should go to Federico Chiesa, who did all the hard work on the right-hand side before placing a pinpoint cross onto the head of the defender.

The two sides had a few chances each to break the deadlock, with Juve in particular missing a few good opportunities in the second half. In the end, the two sides settled for a 1-1 draw that will preserve the status quo near the top of Serie A.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

With the draw, Juve remain in third place, failing to make up any ground on second-place Milan after the Rossoneri's draw with Genoa. The Old Lady remain five points behind second-place Milan, with fourth-place Bologna right on their heels just two points behind. Roma, meanwhile, sit fifth, four points behind Bologna and six points behind Juve with three games remaining.

    USMNT IMPACT

Weah retained his place in the Juve XI on the heels of standout performances against Lazio and AC Milan. He was joined in the Juve XI by his USMNT teammate McKennie, who was back in the starting lineup after coming off the bench in the 0-0 draw with Milan.

Weah's day, though, was marred by an early yellow card for an early foul on Roma goalkeeper' Mile Svilar. Weah was lucky not to be sent off a bit later on for another foul on Leandro Paredes, and the American was taken out shortly after to prevent him from earning a second yellow.

McKennie's performance wasn't earth-shattering either as the American had an up-and-down game. He created one fantastic chance for Manuel Locatelli late in the first half, but was otherwise unable to really influence the game on the attacking side.

    GOAL'S RATINGS

    Tim Weah (6/10):

Was forced out early, likely to protect him after he was handed an early yellow card. A very average 60 minutes for Weah, who couldn't quite make the impact he has in recent weeks.

    Weston McKennie (6/10):

Had a bright moment or two, but wasn't really able to change the game. In general, Juve's midfield was outplayed by Roma's for large stretches, so that isn't solely on McKennie.

    WHAT COMES NEXT?

Juventus will now look ahead to next week's clash with Salernitana, although Massimiliano Allegri may opt to rotate for that game. That's because Juve will face Atalanta in the Coppa Italia final just three days later on May 15, as McKennie, Weah and co. look to seal a trophy before the end of the season.
