The war of words did not end there, with Guler later posting a story on the platform in which he called Szoboszlai "a joke". The youngster had earlier scored the second goal in his side's impressive victory at the Puskas Arena.

Posting an Instagram Story with an image of his shushing, Guler wrote: "This guy is a joke. Isn't 6 goals enough to shut you up?"

Guler is part of a Madrid squad still aiming for a treble this season, with their La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League hopes still alive. Szoboszlai will be hoping to get Liverpool over the line in the Premier League title race, with Everton their next opponents at Anfield next week.
