Speaking to finance groupStocklytics, Sinclair: “Along the way, I think that (changing the manager) is a natural transition and something that happens as a football club gets bigger. You want the person running things to have a similar profile to the football club.
“You look at Birmingham City with Wayne Rooney, I guess that was the main reason for hiring him. With what John Eustace was doing, I can’t think of any other reason, aside from his profile, as to why they would want to move on to Wayne Rooney and someone who lacks experience as a manager.
“That sometimes happens. But at the same time with Phil Parkinson, I think they’ve got an experienced Football League manager. I still feel that he’s got a lot to offer as they progress through the leagues.
“When they get to the Championship or Premier League, you look at his CV and it’s not great. He hasn’t managed a lot of Premier League or Championship clubs. That’s when they might look to differ who’s running the football club. But for me. Parkinson is doing a fantastic job and I hope he can continue to do that and his stock will rise along with the club’s progress.”
