Roma legend Daniele De Rossi holds talks with Premier League club as he eyes managerial job in English football

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma legend Daniele De Rossi could soon return to management outside of his homeland, having reportedly held talks with a Premier League club.

Earlier this season, De Rossi was unceremoniously sacked by Roma following a string of poor results, which led to the return of Claudio Ranieri. Since then, the Giallorossi have steadied their ship and are aiming to finish their season on a high, but De Rossi is still waiting for a new opportunity to come his way.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in securing Daniele De Rossi’s services. Currently in 17th place in the Premier League, Wolves are still fighting to avoid relegation, and there is widespread disappointment regarding the performance of manager Vitor Pereira. As such, Wolves have held talks with De Rossi through intermediaries, with a managerial shuffle seemingly inevitable at Molineux this summer.

De Rossi is eager to return to management and has become fluent in English over the past few years. He is particularly intrigued by the Premier League, with Pep Guardiola being one of his managerial role models. Additionally, De Rossi has strong ties to England, as most of his wife Sarah's family lives there.

Wolves will face fellow relegation battlers Ipswich Town in their next Premier League encounter, which will take place on Saturday, April 5. Pereira's men have 29 points from 30 games so far and are 12 points above the bottom three, albeit having played one game more than 18th place Ipswich.
