Man Utd unlikely to sign Amrabat permanently
Mainoo's progress has impressed Ten Hag
Amrabat joined United on loan in the summer
WHAT HAPPENED?
The midfielder came to the limelight after starring for Morocco in their successful 2022 World Cup campaign, where they reached the last-four stage. United signed him on a loan deal worth €10 million (£8.6m/$10.9m) from Fiorentina in the summer, with an option to make his move permanent in the summer of 2024 for €25m (£21m/$27m).
The Sun now reports that the Premier League club are unlikely to trigger the option of making his transfer permanent next year as they are happy with Kobbie Mainoo's progress with the senior team.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The report further claims that while the club consider the North African a quality player, they are unsure if he rightly fits into the Premier League. Questions are also being raised regarding his ability to adjust himself to the pace of the English league.
Since joining the club in the summer, Amrabat has appeared in 17 matches across all competitions including 10 in the Premier League. He has operated in multiple positions in the ongoing campaign including playing as a left full-back.

WHAT NEXT FOR MANCHESTER UNITED?
After a spirited performance against Liverpool that saw them holding their arch-rivals to a goalless draw at Anfield last weekend, Ten Hag's side will now aim to pick up a win on Saturday as they take on a beleaguered West Ham United side in the Premier League.
