Fans also witnessed a closely-fought battle as the Carolina Panthers defeated the Dolphins 27-24 in Miami's first game without injured superstar Tyreek Hill, while Thursday night's action between the San Francisco 49ers and LA Rams ended with the 49ers picking up a hard-fought 23-20 win.
The Indianapolis Colts erupted for a 40–6 blowout of the Las Vegas Raiders, pushing their record to 4–1 and signaling that Daniel Jones might finally be settling in, while the New Orleans Saints grabbed their first win under head coach Kellen Moore, with a 26–14 victory over the New York Giants, capitalizing on multiple Giants turnovers.
Elsewhere, the Washington Commanders beat the Los Angeles Chargers as Jayden Daniels returned from injury, the Dallas Cowboys went on the road to obliterate the New York Jets, and the Detroit Lions defeated the Cincinnati Bengals. Finally, in action taking place across the pond in London, the Minnesota Vikings spoiled rookie quarterback Dillion Gabriel's first start by defeating the Cleveland Browns.
