Neymar & Jimmy Butler show off huge poker cash haul – with injured Brazil & Al-Hilal forward winning over $500,000 alongside NBA superstar

Having suffered knee ligament damage in October 2023 while on World Cup qualifying duty with his country, Neymar has been on a long road to recovery. He has made just five appearances for Saudi Pro League champions Al-Hilal since linking up with them last summer.

A return to fitness is now in sight – after being forced to sit out the 2024 Copa America – but Neymar is finding other ways to keep himself amused. The South American is a big poker fan and has taken part in some of the biggest tournaments on that circuit.

Neymar has been back at the table, with cards continuing to fall kindly in his favour. He did lose one $174,000 hand to basketball superstar Butler, but still finished the day with more than $500,000 to his name – with his haul of $100 bills being showcased on social media by Miami Heat forward Butler.

While being in a position to relax and wind down during the summer break, Neymar will be expected to form part of pre-season plans at Al-Hilal. He has ruled out a move elsewhere, amid talk of a reunion with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, and will continue to pull in more funds from his lucrative contract in the Middle East.
