Neymar, Hazard & the stars who Zidane could sign at Real Madrid this summer

The Brazil star has long been rumoured for a return to La Liga, either with Real Madrid or rivals Barcelona. As the former club has failed to replace the production and star power of Cristiano Ronaldo, Zidane could look to his ex-Clasico rival to step in and deliver on both next season.

Neymar recently discussed the possibilities of a move to the Bernabeu, saying he was uncertain of the future but happy in Paris. Could the club's shock elimination at the hands of Manchester United swayed him against staying?

The Chelsea star has spoken of his fondness toward Real Madrid and is believed to be hopeful for a move. It seems likely an even more appealing option now that Zidane is back at the helm.

But will Hazard be allowed to leave this summer? Chelsea will have a transfer ban in place which could prompt them to hold onto their star attacker for dear life. With Hazard's contract expiring at the end of next season, it could prove tricky for the club to navigate and prepare for Madrid to pounce as they did for his former Blues team-mate Thibaut Courtois.

Rashford reportedly drew interest from Real Madrid this winter, who could be ready to make a move for the young star this summer.

However, the forward appears to be enjoying life far more under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer than he was under Jose Mourinho, as he has been allowed to feature as the No.9 - and Manchester United are not likely to let him go without a fight.

That said, could something involving Gareth Bale, who has never been a Zidane favourite, going the other way be enough to tempt the Red Devils?

As perhaps the brightest young star in the world, Mbappe is no stranger to Real Madrid links. And with 24 goals in 21 Ligue 1 games, four in the Champions League and of course, winning the World Cup this past summer, don't expect those rumours to go anywhere soon.

Reports have suggested Mbappe isn't in a rush to leave the French capital or his homeland, but could the draw of a France legend in Zidane tempt the star man to the Bernabeu?

Some say it's injury, other say contractual issues, but any way you look at it, things aren't right these days with Mauro Icardi and Inter.

Icardi has been linked to Real Madrid before, and stated in an Instagram post a few weeks ago that he's previously had offers to leave the club that he currently represents. Could the situation at Inter have deteroriated enough to where another offer might be enough for Icardi to find his way out?

When it comes to centre-forwards who score goals, you won't find many in the game today better than Kane. And while Karim Benzema has enjoyed a bounceback season with 13 goals thus far in 27 La Liga games, Kane appears headed for his fifth straight 20-goal Premier League campaign.

Kane did sign a new contract in the summer of 2018, but as Tottenham struggle to compete for trophies, the appeal of club accustomed to winning silverware may draw upon the England captain.

But at least Spurs fans can take heart in Zidane's appointment meaning Mauricio Pochettino won't be headed to the Bernabeu any time soon.

Coming off a record-setting campaign, Salah was linked to both Real Madrid and Barcelona last summer as well as Juventus at times this season.

Though he has endured a bit of a goal drought of late, Salah remains in contention for the Premier League Golden Boot once more. It's unlikely Liverpool would let their star man leave easily, but as Philippe Coutinho's sale last year showed, the Reds are not above a move at the right price. 

The outlook of Dybala's future at Juventus seems to go in cycles - sometimes he appears headed toward an exit and other times not going anywhere, often depending on whether he has run afoul of head coach Massimiliano Allegri. 

Allegri's future is anything but certain these days either as he has been unable to bring the Champions League crown to Juventus. Should he remain, a strong offer from Real Madrid might be able to pry the Argentine loose.

The Tottenham star has been rumoured to be in the sights of Real Madrid before, with the feeling allegedly mutual. And he wouldn't be the first midfielder to make his way to Madrid via Spurs, following in the footsteps of Luka Modric.

Eriksen's contract will have 12 months remaining on it this summer, meaning Tottenham may have a tough time keeping hold of the Denmark international. And if Madrid are serious about an overhaul, he could be a replacement for Modric, who, at 33 years of age, might find himself on the way out to help fund the club's rebuild. 

Yes, Ronaldo left Real Madrid. Yes, he's done well enough at Juventus. And this isn't the likeliest of moves.

But Juventus brought Ronaldo in to win the Champions League, which looks unlikely this season. Meanwhile, Madrid have failed to replace Ronaldo, as their streak of Champions League crowns has come to an end. 

Much like Madrid turned back to Zidane after they failed to replace him, perhaps the club could do the same for Ronaldo.
