Salah opened the scoring for Liverpool by converting a penalty before providing the assist for Curtis Jones' winning goal in the 51st minute as the Reds edged out Chelsea 2-1 to retain their place at the top of the league table. This was the 34th time in the Premier League that the Egyptian managed to contribute with a goal and an assist and is now two games short of equalling Wayne Rooney's record.
