  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The training session, held on Tuesday afternoon, featured a Samba soundtrack that included the iconic tune Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendes. The song gained global recognition after being featured in a classic Nike advertisement from 1998, which showcased Brazilian football legends displaying their skills in an airport.

    WHAT ARTETA SAID

Defending the decision to incorporate music into the training routine, Arteta shared his perspective with reporters and said: "That is something that we’ve done for many years now and it is part of training. We use music as another element of our training sessions to build energy and change certain purposes that we want in the training session, and I think the players enjoy it. Depending on the day, sometimes certain players pick certain songs - the first song, the first two songs, the last song - it’s the same as in the dressing room really."

  • WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING

Despite Arteta’s intentions, his approach has received a mixed reaction from fans, with some taking to social media to ridicule the decision.

An Arsenal fan, @N5Patron, commented, "No other big club does extra sh*t like this…such an unserious club."

@midzthefirst added, "We haven’t got the joga bonito required for this song icl."

@TheFalseNein wrote, "Dkm Mikel is trying to awaken Martinelli’s Brazilian genes."

Meanwhile, @AfcHood wrote: "To be honest, I'm not happy with the team."

While @mosesfemi934 hoped: "The boys have confidence and love this club, I wish the board will bring CF to ease their stress, they will laugh best at last."

    WHAT NEXT FOR ARSENAL?

The Samba-themed training session came just days after Arsenal’s disappointing 2-2 draw with Aston Villa. The Gunners had established a two-goal lead but squandered it, ultimately dropping valuable points in the Premier League title race. They face Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday night in a high-stakes Champions League encounter. A win would virtually guarantee the Gunners a spot in the tournament’s last 16.
