Lionesses star Lauren James named WSL Player of the Month after scoring five goals in two matches for Chelsea

Thanks to James' five goals in Chelsea's last two games against Liverpool and Leicester City, the Blues have maintained their unbeaten start of the season in all competitions. James has played in all of the club's fixtures so far having only not started two games this season.

The run has propelled the Blues to the top of the table in the WSL, three points ahead of second-placed Arsenal who have lost one game more than Chelsea.

James' hattrick against Liverpool in Chelsea's 5-1 win last month was her first in the Women's Super League and her first in the senior side. It was also the first time this season that a player had been involved in four goals in a single game.

James will be looking to carry her form into Chelsea's next match which will happen on Sunday, November 10 when they take on second-placed Arsenal.
