The French superstar spoiled the fun for the minnows, who looked up for the fight against the Ligue 1 champions, enjoying a few bright moments early on. The challenge of pulling off a surprise became ever more daunting after 16 minutes, however, when Mbappe took on a pass from Carlos Soler and tucked into the bottom corner.
Mbappe, Goncalo Ramos and Nordi Mukiele missed plenty of opportunities to increase their lead before centre-back Maxence N'Guessan was the unlucky one to make it 2-0. The Revel defender slid in and knocked the ball into his own net, depriving Ramos of the goal. The Ligue 1 giants managed to squeeze in another two before the end of the half; Marco Asensio made it through and fired in before a delightful flick from the Spaniard fell to Mbappe and he grabbed his second goal to make it 4-0.
Mbappe then completed his hat-trick early in the second half, bursting forward and meeting a pass from Asensio and smashing it home. Ramos then managed to get his goal when he was fouled by Revel's goalkeeper and stepped up to convert the penalty before he was substituted. Not to be left out, Randal Kolo Muani got in on the scoring when Mukiele's pass found him in plenty of space to tap in the seventh, and he then made it 9-0 shortly after 19-year-old Cher Ndour had combined with Mbappe to score.
DID YOU KNOW?
Mbappe is now PSG's all-time top scorer in the Coupe de France, having fired in 30 goals in the competition to overtake Francois M'Pele, who left the club in 1979 with 28 goals in the tournament.

It was no surprise to see PSG in such dominant form against lower-level opposition, nor was it a shock for Mbappe to fire in three times. The 25-year-old was having a great evening from start to finish and missed some excellent chances before rounding off his hat-trick. He had a few more glaring opportunities as the goals kept coming and even grabbed an assist for Ndour's goal.
GettyTHE BIG LOSER
Even against their sixth-tier opponents, Ramos looks so out of his depth compared to his co-stars. He had some good chances but scuppered all of them and was even robbed of a simple tap-in by N'Guessan. Eventually, it took a massive error from Revel goalkeeper Cyril Garcia to give away a penalty, which Ramos converted. He was immediately taken off afterwards. The Portugal international has underwhelmed on so many occasions since joining PSG and his lack of impact here will do nothing to boost his status among the club's fans and, more importantly, coach Luis Enrique.
WHAT COMES NEXT?
PSG will progress to the round of 32 in the Coupe de France after overpowering Sunday's hosts. Before then, they will hope to preserve their five-point lead at the top of Ligue 1 when they pay a visit to Lens on January 14.
