In an interview with La Stampa, Di Canio shares his views on Napoli's transfer business as he picks them to be his favourites for this season.
"Napoli remain the favourite. Everyone has signed something important, but few have found starters. Among them, Napoli, which I see in pole position. Because when you win, if you keep the technical staff, club, and coach in symbiosis, you always start ahead. Napoli have found this continuity, having only to add targeted players. Perhaps they are the only team that has brought in European players ready to start immediately. Conte stayed precisely because he understood that here he could get what he asked for."
The former Napoli forward further added: "For example, De Bruyne, even though at his age he will have to adapt to a totally different environment from that of City, is a champion who dominates the game and controls it without chasing the opponent. Then Napoli stepped in immediately after Lukaku's injury, and Hojlund arrived, who was the one you had to sign on the market because the best players had already been signed, and at those prices, nothing else was available. But he's a great signing, he knows Italy, he's young, he's physical."
