Kai Havertz's wife Sophia shares sickening threats to couple's unborn baby as Arsenal open investigation after FA Cup loss against Man Utd

Germany international forward Havertz endured an outing to forget against the Red Devils, as he squandered a number of golden opportunities to see off opponents who were reduced to 10 men when Diogo Dalot was dismissed early in the second half.

Havertz also fluffed his lines during a dramatic penalty shootout, with his effort from 12 yards being saved by Altay Bayindir. United went on to convert all of their spot-kicks – prevailing 5-3 in a shootout and resulting in Havertz and his partner being bombarded by abuse online.

Sophia, who has been dating Havertz since 2018 and announced in November 2024 that the couple are expecting their first baby together, has shared screenshots of some of the disgusting messages that have been sent in her direction.

One read: “I’m going to come to your house and sl**ghter your baby I’m not joking just wait.” Another said: “I hope you have a miscarriage.” Sophia has accompanied her post with the message: “For anyone to think it’s okay to write something like this is so shocking to me… I hope you are ashamed of yourself. I’m not sure what even to say but please guys be more respectful. We are better than this.”

The Standard reports that Arsenal are now “consulting with a third-party investigator that specialises identifying online abusers”, with the intention being to recognise those responsible for the abuse – which has been reported to Instagram – and “seek the strongest action possible against the culprits”.
