Josh Sargent snubbed? USMNT star's five-goal February for Norwich City not enough as Chelsea loanee Omari Hutchinson secures EFL Championship Player of the Month award

Sargent, meanwhile, had five goals that helped see the Canaries to an undefeated month with three victories and two draws.

Despite his heroic goalscoring performances, he lost out by a narrow margin.

Due to Sargent's incredible form, with 11 goals in 16 matches for the Canaries, he is now in pole position to play a role on the international stage with the USMNT. With an upcoming CONCACAF Nations League semifinal against Jamaica on March 21, he could be called upon to play the striker role for Gregg Berhalter's squad.

He is set to compete for minutes with a brilliant pool of forwards, though, with Ricardo Pepi and Folarin Balogun both vying for minutes.

Sargent missed over four months of action for Norwich City, yet, only trails second place in the race for the Golden Boot by six goals.

The USMNT striker and the Canaries are back in action against Rotherham on Saturday. Their opposition sits bottom of the table, so it presents a good chance for Sargent and co. to rise up the table and raise their goal-differential.
